Pushin useful knowledge to vintage audio enthusiasts (Especially Tape Heads!) Get em on the right track Matt. Again, I appreciate you for assisting me in my open reel recording endeavors. I love this hobby!
Nice recording tip. Specially the Bluetooth receiver gadget. I might search for one of these. What I've done is, connected 2 hifis via a Beresford switch model 7240. It takes 4 source inputs and has 2 outputs, 1 for each preamp/integrated amp/receiver. My 4 sources are TV, Turntable, Streamer and CD. I've got cassette decks connected to both preamps. With the help of the Beresford 7240 switch, I can play any 1 of the 4 sources and record on cassettes hooked up to pramp-1 or preamp-2.
Great Video My Brother and very useful information because not everyone knows how to send the signal to a reel to reel in order to record music. Great job as usual and we always learn from you. 😁 And thank you for always checking on me. You are indeed my brother from another mother.😁
Wow!!! Big Matt I appreciate you brother!!! Thank you sir! Semper Fi! Gorgeous RTR. I need to pick up one that accepts 10” reels eventually. I am loving the 2300 right now. I’m loving the process and the sound. It’s magic.
@@TracerPhill Don't mention it my man...I can't get this song out of my head:-) Your 2300 is very similar to this 3300, very capable/durable machines. Anytime you're up this way please stop by. Peace
Hey Bigg Matt, thanks for this video, but also thanks for given us anupdate on top dog, I will keep him in prayer for a quick recovery. Don’t think you’re a little jab at the Marines didn’t go unnoticed.😝 As for me, I never had the opportunity to serve, however, I have nothing but the highest respect & regard for all you veterans who served in any capacity. All gave some, and some gave all! Hey Matt, you didn’t mention though what speed you were recording at with that deck, is that a two track, capable of doing seven and a half, and 15 IPS? Haven’t looked up that model yet, I myself have an A 3300 S. I chose to stay with the 4 track, because I knew I was never gonna be able to afford those two track pre-recorded tapes unless I won the lottery 😝. Keep up the good work, look forward to seeing more of your videos, God bless.!
@@raywoods2132 Hey RW, Great to hear from you Thanks for the kind words. I was recording @ 7.5 ips, this is a 4-track, ot records in FWD and plays in FWD & REV. Very similar to your 3300S. The 4-ttack format you use is by far the most popular. 2 track units do provide better fidelity but they use twice as much tape. Keep in touch my friend.
Hey Bigg Matt nice video and thanks for sharing. I need your help with a setup, this is what I have, Pioneer sx1050 receiver, Bose 901 series 6, pioneer EQ sg9500, turntable pl570.. I have the Bose connected to the tape2, I just picked up a Pioneer 707 reel to reel and I connected it to the tape1, but cant get it to playback or record. What am I doing wrong?
