- This was the first day of our vacation and Jennifer discovered this museum while we were having breakfast in Barstow. Well, we're always down for a museum, so it was on! Join us for a tour and an excursion ride from Boulder City, Nevada.

Black Bear was a heck of a lot better before they decided to expand into a full-blown chain. I remember when it was just a single restaurant located in Mount Shasta... In the late 90's, whenever I drove up I -5 from the SF Bay Area to Oregon, I always timed it, so I'd be pulling into Mount Shasta just in time for breakfast at Black Bear, and on the return trip, dinner. I haven't eaten in a Black Bear for a long, long time, they just can't compare to the original one.
Save some gas to come up to Roseville, CA... Big Boy 4014 is scheduled to be there for 2 days, July 12 - 13. Or, if you're still up in Utah on July 4th, they're going to do a whistle-stop at Morgan, UT.
The Nevada Sate Railroad Museum is on my to-do list for a cab ride in 844.... cool video, Mark!

To clarify, the 844 stram engine eas renumbered 8444 when the 800 series dieselsarrived at UP. After all, you can't have two engines with the same number on the railroad.
Once the diesel (No. 844) finished working with that number, the steam engine got its number back.
Casada Golf Club is owned by MGM ( I believe). It’s primarily for high-rollers staying at their hotels who wish to play golf. It is open to public with green fees starting at $479/up depending on day.
The conductor said MGM had sold it, but did mention a $500 green fee. Too rich for my blood!
Looks like a Cool trip. I wasn't aware of the Museum in Boulder, need to check that out. We'll be staying in Cedar City in just two weeks. Hope you found the Museum in Cedar City, some pretty neat stuff and a train layout. If you didn't know, the UP used to stop there, and there's still some buildings and remains of the Railroad.
We saw there was a museum there, but were only there that morning and had no time to check it out. Maybe next time!

I saw 19 trains in 5 hours witch is crazy to think about it’s a bnsf line and a no horn show unfortunately but you might get a little toot toot
I actually obtained a real SP caboose key from a friend that works on the door lock! I was in Flagstaff last year, and yes, they run a load of trains through there. I only had time to catch a couple of them. I could see the tracks from our room and they averaged a train about every ten minutes!

I filmed a little bit of train’s,on my channel ,I need more mic or a good mic , and maybe a inexpensive GoPro or something,,BigAL California, it’s the BigAl California with there’d 🔴with a B in it , thanks BigAl California.
I just use my cell phone. The GoPro is for shooting on the road or the dirt bikes. My phone actually has a better microphone though.
