    This is the best lens repair video on the net. Thank you. I feel confident taking my phone apart after hanging with you for a little bit. The other videos scared the hell out of me where people are working above the camera with razor blades. You did it right and did it smooth. I appreciate this!

    Great last tip brother.. Does screws can get really expensive when they are stuck. Rear Camera has most magnets and they get stuck there a lot. Good video..Appreciated it. I have a shop in LA CA called PHONER and we always check for those and sometimes miss them and it happens but not on high end screens lol.Thanks God..Those screens are only available Apple refurb or Apple direct and they can be $300-$400 plus even from vendor direct.

      Thank you for the tips. It only takes 1 time damaging a screen from loose screws before you never make that mistake ever again. I’ll make sure to mention the rear camera magnets in my future videos.

    My lenses aren’t broken but instead have condensation on the inside from being dropped in a lake for 2 min, this video helped me understand that I could clean the inside of the lenses without replacing the entire rear glass. my phone has been in a closed container with a dehumidifier and that has not been successful in removing the condensation.

      You gotta open it and clean it out unfortunately. I’d leave it to dry out for an hour or so before putting everything back together

    What about if it’s the bigger part that also got scratched like a hairline fracture through two of the glasses and that is also the entire square to replace?

    • @repaironwheels
      @repaironwheels  Год назад

      The glass surrounding the camera lens is apart of the back glass/housing. The square is attached to the rest of the back glass, if that broke you need to replace the back glass or housing depending on your preference. Email/text me and I can quote you for either

    • @repaironwheels
      @repaironwheels  10 месяцев назад

      @franciscocardone7738 they will either swap out the entire phone for $99 or swap out the back housing for $29. If it’s a hairline crack they usually replace just the housing. Id theres a gaping hole in the lens they swap out the whole device

    Just use plastic nylon tool and you'll be fine. Don't open the screen front my own experience. Opening screen you can damage the screen and only Apple has that screen available and costs $329 pro and 379 pro max. Smarter to do it from outside and be cautious and break the glass with heat gun or blow dryver and the glass will fall off little by little and use tweezers. Thanks @Phon-er

    • @repaironwheels
      @repaironwheels  9 месяцев назад

      There are definitely pros and cons to both methods. I’ve seen many instances where someone accidentally stabbed the rear camera and went from just needing a lens to now needing a rear camera.

      Open it up and let it dry out for a while. I’ve had times where I clean it up and then it’s fogged up cuz there was still water inside
      Use q tips. If you still can’t quite clean it out use methanol, as it leaves no residue or streaks

    • @repaironwheels
      @repaironwheels  17 дней назад +1

      @AandJ_VLOGS19 depends on whether the streaks are on the actual camera or the inside of the camera lens. I use methanol to avoid streaking. But if the issue is on the actual camera than it needs to be replaced

      @@repaironwheels it just looked like he cleaned the glass part , I can see all the streaks

    • @repaironwheels
      @repaironwheels  17 дней назад

      There’s 3 parts. The actual camera, the inside of the camera lens and the outside of the camera lens. The camera lens being the piece of glass that sits in between the outside world and the camera. If the guy did a bad job and used something that left streaks on the inside of the camera lens, that’s fixable. If the streaks are on the camera, unfortunately that’s not something that’s able to be cleaned. Meaning the camera would need to be replaced

      Generally when dust/debris gets on the actual camera it needs to be replaced. You can try cleaning off but you’ll likely have spots/fuzzies in your images. Most easily seen by holding up a white sheet of paper

    This iphone ist no longer waterproof.

    • @repaironwheels
      @repaironwheels  10 месяцев назад +1

      The common misconception is that replacing the gasket doesn’t automatically make the device water resistant. I see a lot of devices that have never been opened that water somehow managed to get in. As a general rule the moment a device is damaged or opened it’s safe to say it will never be water resistant again

  • @BirdManPhil

    Saying you should use heat if you're a novice is the dumbest thing I've ever heard. On all models from the 12-14 series you should always heat the bezel AND use isopropyl alcohol to loosen the adhesive. You must not open many iphones or you'd damage the oled eventually

    • @repaironwheels
      @repaironwheels  11 месяцев назад +1

      You must not have watched very far because I use and suggest the iso method for removing screens

    • @repaironwheels
      @repaironwheels  11 месяцев назад +1

      @repaironwheels cool man. I think it's pretty cool that you're learning to repair iphones. I just wouldn't humble brag by saying you don't use heat because you're not a novice. We repair upwards of 25 iphones a day and always use heat + iso on any model 12-14 because you run the risk of breaking the oled if you don't. Experience has nothing to do with it
