That sounds like a great soap scent right there and one I would really like. I will add this to the top of Soaps I want but do not need. Great video as always.
Thanks so much Mike for joining me! Hopefully it wasn't my description that worried ya, it smells awesome. Doug can do no wrong haha Thanks again for stopping by and sharing the shave man!
Lol I’ve owned the Meta4 Stainless. It’s on my shelf. I bought it because it was always out of stock and it came in stock one year, so I figured I’d get it. I have never used it, just always pick something else🤷🏼♂️. I will definitely use it soon💪🏼. Thanks Josh for what you do.
@@SubieShavesused it TODAY. The PAA Meta4 is a really great shaver. Glad to have it, and a no regret on purchase. Could easily recommend it. You know it’s funny, you first hear, Leaf, Supply, Henson, Rockwell, and the hole takes you to razors that are (dare I say) as good or way better. The Meta4 to me is as good or better than those mentioned imo🙏🏼💪🏼. Thanks for making me try it for the first time🤦🏻♂️🤷🏼♂️🤣
Awesome Josh! The Meta 4 is one of my favorite razors, so much so I almost pulled the trigger on a Kirby that nobody had noticed on a listing on eBay and made a crazy price. I think it might have influenced the design of the Barbasol floating head design, but that's a guess on my part. They do share a lot of similarities, though they do shave differently. Even though it is super mild, it is surprisingly efficient and predated the current trend of razors that have that mild feel. I hadn't thought about the handle weight, but I might try it with a titanium handle. It's not a razor that I'd part with, just like my Marvel, Gibbs, and a few others. I would be cool if PAA did a Barbasol! The soap sounds great and another fresh scent from PAA. I do like fresh scents and it's a welcome change from all the heavy cologne scents that have been coming out. I did get Bubble Bay, I mean Bay Gum, and I've been enjoying that one. I'm hoping that they come out with a new fun one for this summer like Rabid banana and Aloha Punch. Maybe something like that Fruit Stripe gum from back in the day. Bay Gum has it a little, but Fruit Stripe gum is super fruity. Have a great one Josh!
Seriously!! I have chased them too, I always put down 100$ and just watch the borders double it and that's when I bail. it would be awesome to own the original but I'm very happy with this Homage for sure! Nowwwww to polish? 😁🤔 Thanks for watching my friend! Still loving your soap slicer!
I used this one yesterday from my advent calendar from last year. Definitely spa vibes, actually reminded me of cucumber melon. I’m shocked not one review has mentioned the menthol in the splash. I’m wondering if that was only the advent version that had menthol 🤔
Subes, appreciate the content. As a head shaver as well, I have a very important question for you: what is your #1 preferred razor to use for head shaving? For myself, I started with the Leaf but it was too aggressive for my melon, so I moved along to the Henson mild which I currently use...it's very good for me for a quick & no nonsense head shave, but I think there is still probably something better out there. I mostly use CK6 and Stirling soaps (I like a hydrated lather, not "dry"), and I have a mix of blades as well. Thoughts/opinion?
Thanks for the comment and question KevinR! Appreciate a fellow baldie here sharing the shave. TL;DR Lots of excellent shavers out there - even I myself waffle back and forth on my "favorite". I think what you've found is excellent, and truth be told, it could be a one and done type of purchase. I myself am always impressed when I reach for my Henson Medium/Aggressive - it's quite the autopilot shave. I can say this - you could buy 25 razors - all different from the Henson, and appreciate each for the experience they offer. Will it be better, closer, easier - those factors may be smaller than you or myself can tell sometimes, and choosing a TRUE winner can be different day to day. However if you want to experience other skin feels, more or less audible feedback, less/more efficiency - there are some fantastic options. Remember though different doesn't mean "better" all the time. I myself love the Yates 921 H and EH razor (with the right handle) as it is similar to the Henson feel, but slightly smoother for me. I like they stand behind their titanium products as well (unlike Henson). One of my favorite 3 piece DEs. But maybe you want something WAY different functionally than a Henson - like the Proof - where the razor pivots and still takes a 1/2 DE blade. Again a fantastic, fairly mild shaver, different than the Henson, but excellent for me - with a smaller profile than the Leaf. Take those 2, and you could do a 180, and try something like I use in this video - which gives a more vintage skin feel - with modern updates. Very different than the Henson, nearly incomparable. What I'm getting at is there is a tonnnn of awesome razors, I myself would be bored with just one shave - plus my skin seems to do better with a change in rotation. If you're looking for options - I've done a few videos here 🤣👍 Thanks so much for the question!
Awesome shave☀️
Thanks so much!

Hmm Double checked - for sure no menthol. Probably a winter thing?
@@SubieShaves I’m guessing he tweaked the splash then. If you smell menthol and you feel menthol odds are it’s probably menthol 😁

look at CTRL New Wave Double Edge razor by Daftbrand. Looks interesting.
I followed their Kickstarter - kind of like a modern Toggle. I like their approach - price seems a bit high. Interesting design though 👍
1st one here!!! 😂
Thanks for hoping over here my guy!
