DJ Paul: Crunchy Black Not Leaving Street Life Despite Shooting

- www.vladtv.com - Back in 2012, rapper Crunchy Black was shot in the face and the leg, and his fellow Three 6 Mafia partner DJ Paul spoke to VladTV about his thoughts on the incident. The Memphis-born emcee told us that Crunchy is "made by the streets and for the streets," and Paul doubts that he'll ever leave that life behind.
When asked if he thinks Crunchy Black is the wildest member of Three 6 Mafia, DJ Paul says that his fellow Memphis emcee is laid back, and adds that Koopsta Knicca and Gangsta Boo are the most wild.

crunchy is real as fuck, i met him once and was talking to him and i told him i was happy he made a recovery and was healthy and doing good and how happy i was to see them back together and i went to shake his hand goodbye, and he thought i wanted to hit his blunt he was smoking so when we both extended our hands out his blunt burnt my hand. i thought in my head holy shit this dude is going to kill me i fucked his blunt up, but he was actually concerned about my hand hes like yah just burn your hand mayne you alright, and i didnt even know what to say except sorry. i felt so stupid. it was kinda like one of those star struck moments where you know youll never get to meet a artist you been listening to for 20 years ever again most likely and then you accidnetly fuck it up. so i went back to the car and had some custom things i made and came back and gave it to them as a gift. he didnt really know what to say but ithink he was happy. his crew thanked me for him i think he was kinda shocked someone actually came up and gave him a cool gift out of no where that he didnt know what to say. so i left it at that and said by and walked away. i didnt wanna hound dog them to long and be the annoying fan but in my mind i wish i coulda stayed there for hours asking them questions but i respected there space and left

I know it's two DIFFRENT rap groups but I can see little similarities between Dirty South Hip Hop group 3-6 Mafia (aka Tripple 6 Mafia aka Da Mafia 6X) and West Coast Hip Hop group NWA. The street ni66az in 3-6 Mafia was Crunchy Black, the late Lord Infamous, and the late Koopsta Nicca, the procducers/beat makers was DJ Paul (another street dude) and Juicy J, the lyrisis was Gangsta Boo and Playa Fly. With NWA, you had the street ni66a the late Eazy E, the producer/beat makers in Dr Dre and DJ Yella, and you had the lyrisis in MC Ren (Steet dude), Ice Cube, and The DOC.Then most of them had gang affiliations: 3-6 Mafia's DJ Paul, Paul's brother the late Lord Infamous, Crunchy Black, and Playa Fly are GD'z/74. With NWA, the late Eazy E and MC Ren are Crips (Kelly Parks set in Compton).DJ Paul should produce/direct a movie about 3-6 Mafia.
