If you come to Chiang Mai you have to visit an Elephant Sanctuary - it's an incredible experience! I did the single day tour with Elephant Nature Park 📍and highly recommend you join them: www.elephantnaturepark.org
This was my first time visting an Elephant Sanctuary and was the BEST thing I have ever experienced in my life! I felt so connected and at peace while here (or maybe I was just tired from all the walking and heat all day 😂😅) Either way, you need to see this experience next time you visit Thailand!
Before you visit Chiang Mai please do your research about ethical treatment of Elephants and go to a camp or sanctuary - please don't ride the elephants! Riding of them is terrible for them and theres some really bad procedures used on baby elephants to make them subservient and broken.

This is the best sanctuary. Its better than those I've seen that offer bathing and touching elephants and advertise as "ethical"

Some people would say that any sanctuary that allows tourists and tourist noise is not ethical.
