My issue with wattbike, the tacx bike, or the peloton bike - they take up a lot of space, even when stored. A Tacx Neo, a Wahoo Kickr, just about any other trainer really, is foldable and takes up the space of maybe a big carry-on case, or a briefcase. That alone compensates for the „hassle“ (2 minutes, if that) of putting my bike on my Neo. Plus, I can easily set up my trainer wherever I want. I can even put it in my car beside my bike and use it in a hotel. Try that with a Wattbike...
Any trainer at all, but with an actual strain guage power meter on the bike. Nearly any power meter is more consistently accurate than nearly any smart trainer.
