Pratchett-Abercrombie hybrid sounds intriguing with the chronicling.

It was great! Hitting some of the same notes I loved about those authors. I’m hoping the rest of his works are similar, since this is my first experience with him.

Agreed, this book was so much fun! I'm really looking forward to reading more K.J. Parker as well, I have a big stack waiting now.

That's perfect. I'm winding down on outstanding Tchaikovsky reads, so Parker is going to be the next obsession. I might try Guy Gavriel Kay after that.

This sounds like a lot of fun. I’ve heard Allen talk a lot about it lol.

Yeah haha I need to pick up some of the ones he raves about like the Folding Knife. I'm now sure I'm going to like them!

This sounds right up my alley, great review! I think I might own more books by K.J. Parker than any other author I've never read. What is my problem!?!?!

Thank you! Haha I do that too!! I’ve no idea why. It’s like, “no, no - I’d much rather be reading all of these mediocre books.”

Read two novellas by Tom Holt and his writing style and humor did not sit well with me, I doubt that I will ever give him another chance, but I'm glad that you enjoyed his book so much.

Oh interesting - I’ll keep that in mind if I pick those up. I’m curious if those were just duds or if it’s the author in general that threw you off.
