- In my job, I’m in charge of designing and developing the required hardware and software to characterize and test electronic chips. To understand why engineers even need to develop hardware and software we first have to understand the tools required.
Part One: • What I actually do as ...
Day in the Life Video: • Day in the life of an ...
As an EE who transitioned fully into Software Dev, I cannot emphasize more how much we really suck at the core fundamentals of CS. I can automate with Python and do stuff with Arduino, but I remember struggling so much at my job when I first encountered data structures. I was like wtf is this shit. I got fired because i did not know what those funny arrow thingy was (de referenced pointer to struct). I malloc'ed the fuck out of a puny 8051 when they hardly had any footprint.
Also,
I used space, not tabs
@TotheK I N G D O M I want to go into CE as well. But I wasn't sure if CS was a better option. Mind if I ask why you won't do CS?
Lmao. I have a feeling i'll end up in the same position as you.
@@AVL-Tree Electronics Engineering is a subset of EE and is very much related to software dev. As an EE major with an electronics focus, I'm forced to take an Assembly course that essentially teaches me about how CPUs process surface level languages like C++ in the background and I will be taking a machine learning course as an upper division elective to get an even deeper understanding of this. Electronics Eng. and Computer Eng. have a lot more in common than you think.
I'm currently in a apprenticeship for EE. I'm working in the same sector as you do(testing measuring). I think it's very sad that many people don't know much about EE.
I love your videos
Thanks man! Yes I had no idea what I would be doing learning EE
I work in the field of Audio Visual as a programmer. I have a Computer Systems Engineering background. We normally use C in the programming.
NIce! Yes the programming language is dependent upon the application
I'm not good at computers but I'm very interested. Is it enough reason to take EE?
Of course man i'm bad at math but i still got that will to be engineer in electronic
@@Brown597 I took Mechanical Engineering, I'm not qualified cuz I have no laptop or pc. Still Engineering tho, goodluck to me
Superb engineering dude🖒🖒🖒
Sarah Minhtran yeah... U r from.... What u do
Hello man how do you characterize PLL and oscillators and ADCs?
I see all these types of videos for programmers and other majors , but i finally found one for EE , i am currently studying electronic engineering and i am so excited to finally work in the field i love
Keep up the good work , love your channel
Thanks for your support man! Yes Software Engineering/Computer Science is quite popular now a days but other fields also program quite a bit.
@@RelearnMathwhy no videos
@@j4444-n4f No time my friend
May I know what's your job title exactly? Test Development engineer or something like that?
Field Applications Engineer
Amazing channel
I graduated ee at 2017
Still finding job
Starting to losing hope in subject
Have any suggestion.
What was your GPA?
@@RelearnMath oof
Big OOF
What are you doing now?
I have a question should I choose electronics and communication engineering or else should I go for electrical engineering
Ece
If I wanted to build electric vehicles would I focus on power engineering within the electrical engineering major?
Yes, that or else do a coding emphasis
go ARM cortex requirement example job
I'm about to take BS ECE, but I'm having second thoughts. Any tips?
P. S. I'm not good at programming but, excels in terms of math.
I'm a EE major. I took an Intro to Programming class at my community college for dirt cheap that was for CS majors. I got an A in it and it helped me out for my follow on "Programming for Engineers" class the next semester when I transferred to my 4 year school. Learning a programming language is like French or Spanish; you have to practice in order to be competent.
Both of those programming classes where the easiest compared to my other major specific math intensive courses, so you'll be fine. *But definitely look into familiarizing yourself with Matlab,* your school should offer the software for free.
Best video
I m doing electrical and electronics engineering (EEE) so which language is best for me...C++ or Java?
C++
But can you tell me the reason?
I live in India..so which is more demanding here?
@@nikhilnaidu1383 I don't know what's more demanding but I can tell you C/C++ are languages that are "closer" to the hardware and thus better for EE
Is the job difficult? And if it is, is it on a daily basis? Or is it just sometimes difficult? Because this looks like a very long process to remember lol but it looks very cool 😂😅
It’s a long process, took me about 2 years to feel comfortable with the work. It’s just like everything, it takes time.
If you don't know what the gain is, check your trigonometry textbook. Idk why I felt insulted even though I know what the gain is LOL
Hey Reach, i would be glad if you provide me with some suggestions, tips ,etc
I am studying Electronics,Communication and Information engineering in Nepal,
Which of the Hardware orientated or software orientated platforms: be great? Which programming language should I learn? What about research and development field?
Is it RELEARN MATH?
Original name yes
How much you make?
I have another video on that!
REACH link ?
Look through the videos
isn't this more about electronics engineering rather than electrical engineering?
Yes, Electronics is a subset of electrical
Any firmware developer here?
the visuals in this video and explanation are a lot more useful than the "day in the life video". The "day in the life" video was worthless on its own.
you could speak a little more clearly. you still sound like you're trying to not wake up your mom in the other room.
please make more explanations like this for other careers!
I don’t want to make videos about other careers because the value I would bring to my viewers is as much as I can google or ask others.
This is not a BS channel like Matt 'Dox-a-lot' Tran. He's not trying to sell something here.
This channel is more genuine and I hope that he'll keep it that way.
Sir can you plz tell me about electrical field PLC and SCADA scope of job and I am planning to Study New Zealand PGD 1 year there is Electrical and electronics engineering and Electrical computer engineering I have confused which course related to PLC SCADA.
I’m not familiar with those subjects
i believe PLC and SCADA are under electrical engineering, not electronics or computer
SCADA has a very good scope. You can work for oil and gas companies, factories, power companies etc. You will most likely be creating displays and assisting control room operations. Get trained with using OASyS DNA
Course is under Control systems/ PLC programming
is this job difficult ? or is it easy after study ! actually I'm in high school and just thinking about going in EE do u recommend it .Please anyone reply . I really need one.
No job is easy man, but I think ee job is less boring compared to others
@@imram8788 thanks but i was aking if i its study is difficult than other fields ....glad to hear its not boringg lol
@@ratinderpalsingh6 I don’t take ee in uni but most of friends seemed to enjoy ee. According to them, It is hard especially towards the end of degree but once you grab the concept, it’ll get easier.
@@imram8788 thank for telling🙂
@@ratinderpalsingh6 how's it going? I'm enjoying the math. I wanted to get a good foundation of math so I took trig and a 6 week pre calc class this summer which was hella fast but I understood it and passed the final hopefully that helps me pass haha. because in hs I didn't really try in my math classes and always ended up with B's or Cs. Now I'm gonna be taking calc 1 this fall and tbh I'm excited not sure why I just finished a gruesome six weeks but exited as hell to start calc lmao. Hope you're doing fine mam
Have you ever tried fpga?
Yes I’ve done FPGA programming with VHDL...not as fun as RF though imo
@@RelearnMath Do you have a video on RF? Any advice on getting into RF engineering? I want to work for an RF semiconductor company.
ola ermosa
It looks like your a Test Engineer. I do the same but for Military. Stay away from Government contracts or work. Funded by project. Project over so are you. You better save some $ for a few years and don't live paycheck to paycheck. Forget about Cars. Every young guy out of school wants a flash car. The economy is due to a downturn and it happens every 8-10 years because capitalism is like an unstable control system which is not part of most EE required classes today.
It's better to speak slowly bro, try it once
You know you can change the speed of the video.
Hello!
Thank you for this video. It's very helpful.I have one question?Do companies offer practice for newly graduated students so they can learn what to do during the work.
For example let's say that a student doesn't know how to operate the softwares that the company use.Do they train you about this or at least give you time to learn the softwares?
Yes, especially as a new grad..they can't expect you to know. Most companies will have a "training" period or at least let you shadow an experienced engineer.
Dude! I think I just saw you 🤔
Were you eating at a place called Cava in Irvine? Lol
If so I regret not walking up to you
If not I'm glad i didnt walk up to that person 😂
Hey! Yes I'm supporting a project in the Irvine area! I think I was there!

Nah you are second
Good Chanel
Im not good at physics and math but i took EE. Hahaha

@REACH which programming language you use?
C, Python, VB
What subjects do you recommend to do in high school if you want to be a electrical engineer
Go to my channel, I have a video called “how to prepare for Engineering”
Maths and physics
boring! zzzzz...
Just don’t do engineering, bud. We don’t need lazy unmotivated people like you anyways. :)
