I'd Re-Subscribe if it was possible. Waiting for the Wilson/Cranston podcast dedicated to talking about acting in this exact format. Rainn to balance 2 podcasts. Yes? ☺
Walter White saying "I did it/doing it for my family" for so many seasons until the kitchen scene with Skyler "I did it because I liked it, because I was good at it". one of the best moments of TV ever made.
The fact that Rainn can ask a question, then tell a few (very interesting!) stories and then effortlessly come back to the question so that it stays an actual interview is amazing!
What a fantastic podcast Rainn. There's something very calming about your interview style - this conversation felt natural, like listening to two friends have a chat in my living room. Love your interview style. Looking forward to everything else youve got coming!
Lucky! I’ve been rewatching random episodes again recently and I think I have to do the full start to finish binge. I revisited “half measure” and “full measure” most recently and my goodness those episodes were masterpieces.
The first time commenting on anything. Rainn, thank you for your pod. You made me feel less lonely and I am grateful for all the wisdom you and your guest provided. I love the way you articulate and critique a vast range of different issues, constantly questioning every single thought you have. Thank you for the comfort you give to your audience.
I love deep conversations, which only comes with being open to other person and being vulnerable at same time. Also really love the aesthetics, being so casually dressed, it creates a sense of two folks having a conversation in their living room. A very special episode indeed.❤❤
I must recommend to those who can rent Bryan’s book from your local library audio book or novel. I loved the audio book of his memoir because he reads it to you, he tells you all about his life, members of his family that reminded him of walt and more failures than wins. Incredibly humble and real. Thank you Bryan and Rainn for doing this.
Rainn, if you have not seen "Your Honor", you have to see it. Cranston is BRILLIANT in this series--the ultimate moral dilemma. We are all praying Netflix brings the series back.
Season 2 is a little bit too rushy, I hope if they ever make season 3, they will explain all the rushed part in the ending. Otherwise, The Honor is a sick show! Very much reminded me of Breaking Bad.
Wow, can’t believe I’ve never heard about this channel before and RUclips recommended the first part of this conversation to me just before this part got uploaded! Thanks Rainn and Bryan! I love you both as actors and this is a pleasure to watch!
So refreshing to hear an artist that is actually grateful for the opportunities he's had and appreciates the impact he has made on peoples lives. Much love
I’m in The Studio! As background but I was like 5 feet from Bryan and he jumped to my favorite actor that day. Seeing him work that close up was amazing!
Love the podcast Rainn, I've been falling asleep to the Office everyday for years now, HUGE FAN. However BB is still atop my list. While listening to Bryan, it almost makes me feel bad that he never truly got that "1st time watching experience" like all of us fans did. I'm sure he watched the final product but a part of me wishes there was an alternate universe where he could see how exquisite his character was going in "blind" if you will.
Loving the pod. I read A Life in Parts when it came out and was blown away by how he can construct stories about his past. So talented! Would love to see a conversation with Bob Odenkirk and how Saul paralleled with Walter by also tipping the morality scale. Thanks for this pod Rainn! I love the conversations! Keep it up!
Great episode! btw since you 2 spoke of impact of played characters, and people identifying the actors with these characters. Here is a story: "FACTTTSS": Recently a classroom used Walter White 😎🎩 photo referring to renowned scientist Heisenberg. "Identity theft is not a joke Mr. White! Millions of families suffer every year!"
Beautiful. The ''Skyler, where is the money'' scene, when WW was searching for it beneath the house, got me nervously and hysterically laughing. Best series scene ever!
The argument is more about Walt's pride, not his morality. Had he spoke with anyone at Gray Matter he could have had more than enough money to make his family comfortable in my opinion.
What Bryan says about keyboard warriors …and social media 👍🏼 …it’s an amazing tool. How’re you going to use it? 😌…Humans. You rock, Rainn. You keep right on rocking! 🥰 ✊🏻
Absolutely love this podcast!! its so insightful, and with these absolute amazing guests (and host) its just great. Loved part one, can't wait for this!!
Incredible Talk! I believe the comment section has a tremendous power to heal and help us to disagree better and actually try and do it. No blaming on our own practices but as these guys said “acknowledge” how much we are responsible of what we accuse the world to cause, as if by Magic.
This episode was absolutely great. I can now recognize the person behind the "Dwight" character. Also, Bryan Cranston means a lot to me because he is the main character of my favorite TV show. He demonstrates that hard work always pays off in the end..
In the multiverse Dwight is a cop who busts Walter white, And in another universe the breaking bad story is exactly the same but Walter wears a mullet wig.
For once I am truly glad the algorithm offers me to watch something new. The Office gave me tears of joy a few times and now I'm getting even more joy by discovering Rainn Wilson who I suspected was a more intelligent being than any of the characters I know he's played. Greetings from the country where unpoisoned baguettes are the go-to when you need bread.
Can we acknowledge Bryan Cranston's brilliance by his ending words about his "grandfather" that give a full cirle to the full interview? They started with the killing bread and ended with the kiling bread's origin story. #plot_twist
Love the pod. But if you start talking about slavery, maybe educate yourself fully on the subject. Slavery was a thing in Africa, way before the Whites arrived. And there is still slavery in African countries, with no whites involved. That doesn't excuse what happened, but strangely no celebrities are talking about how much slavery is prevalent in African countries today. Look up Global Slavery Index for more info.
No one should have to pay for the sins of their ancestors but that being said very insightful conversation. It's nice to see you guys being open with your opinions and feelings.
Your right no should have too but to make a wrong right you have to acknowledge it rather your great great grandad did it or your mom did it 50 years ago it’s about apologizing and saying hey it was messed up and I’m sorry and it won’t happen again ever showing ,sympathy for it and also helping those families with some type of finance reimbursement is the least we can do to show we are better

amazing podcast! Rainn having such a different personality than Dwight shows how great of an actor he is. i loved what you two discussed, it was very entretaining!
The episode I didn’t know I needed. Absolutely obsessed with both of you ❤ also I love breaking bad but Bryan will always be Hal from Malcom in the middle for me.
Religion is like Walter White! Only Rainn could have come up with that brilliant analogy!!! What a life lesson this podcast! Thanks to everyone involved here. :)
genuinely it does not make sense as to why there is not more views on this. you are having some of the most interesting people on ur podcast, the algo just has a little working on to do cause this should be blowing up
Walter White gives up on morality the instant he refuses help from Gretchen. The money issue would be solved from then on, but his ego couldn't allow it. And we all agreed with him: How could he live his last months overwhelmed by the feelings that ruined his life in the first place?
Thank you Rainn, you're really a enlightened soul, and i feel blessed to live in the same space in time as you. I loved The office and became even happier when met the real you, and to see the things you care about and fight for, gives some sort of hope in all of this bullshit we're in, greetings from Brazil, and keep it up, Thank you!!
While seeing Rainn in his natural skin, it seems clear, the thing we love in Dwight has come from that inner spark that swells within Rainns imagination.
In reference, to Bryan's idea of God. For reality to be construed, it will always be percieved perfect. For we can't concieve beyond those limits, like colours invisible to us. I like Bryan's love (?) for life yet I have to be critical.

"The luxury of morality" is such a profound statement.
Nothing profound, its a statement made by people who doesn't believe in accountability.
Walter White saying "I did it/doing it for my family" for so many seasons until the kitchen scene with Skyler "I did it because I liked it, because I was good at it". one of the best moments of TV ever made.
Iconic
But he was really... he was alive
After he saw his friends, make billions off of his hard work-he wasn’t going to stop until he made that money back and more!
Omg at 14:11 when he jumps right back into Walter White mode with such ease. Bryan’s acting is so impressive
It literally took me a single podcast to strip “Dwight” from “Rainn” and see him as an actual person rather than a popular character.
About time!! 😅 🙌
And you discovered a Gem😊
Shoutout to The Last Mimzy 😏
