- Our 3rd time on Gold Mountain and the last two times have been slick conditions. This time we visited the trail in the summer and expected 88 degrees and sunny skies. But were met with humidity and dark skies. When we started out on the mountain, it was a light drizzle, then the rain progressed steadily making this trip much more difficult than planned.
