    Beauty!
    Nicely done, boys.
    You made it look easy.
    I tried my manual rivet tool on those trim fasteners but I didn’t have an attachment with the right sized opening for the pin!
    E84 wheel arch trim, btw.

      This was a fun project to share. I think many people now realize why the dealer charges what they do for this repair.

    Excellent video guys. I’ve been thinking of doing this on my 2018 X3. My biggest worry would be not recalling which bolts go where while reinstalling everything. :)
    That is a nice hitch and wiring setup though.

      One good method is to use some baggies and write down where they came from. Or take some picture with your phone. Tue install is not too bad overall.

    Great video!!! What’s the wiring harness part number please??

    • @AskTheCarExperts
      @AskTheCarExperts  Год назад

      It does depend on the year of the vehicle. The best thing to do would be to call your local dealer for the part number looked up using your VIN

    Did you have to program the module or no?

    • @AskTheCarExperts
      @AskTheCarExperts  Месяц назад

      @LexusLFA91 Yes, The car needs coding for the module to work. Had the local dealer do the coding.

    Hi, where did you get that molding for the bumper ,from the dealer ?because I didn’t have that included in the package .Just trailer hitch,module ,harness wires.

    • @AskTheCarExperts
      @AskTheCarExperts  7 месяцев назад +1

      Hello, Yes all of these items where dealer ordered. The molding was not listed in the main instructions but was in the parts manual.

    Would you happen to know if such DIY installation could void 'Certified Pre-Owned' waranty?

    • @AskTheCarExperts
      @AskTheCarExperts  2 года назад

      Hi Maciek, No using OEM parts would not void your warranty. The CPO would not cover the hitch but normal CPO covered items would still be covered.

      I am pretty confident it would be available through a dealer. You need them to look it up by VIN

      Part numbers can vary depending on vehicle options. Your best bet would be to call your local dealer with your VIN to get the part number for your BMW.

    Hey I need some help about my bmw323ci. My car turns, but there is no throttle. It turns doesn't even start. When I spray fuel starter into the intake tube it starts force seconds then shuts off. Do you think the throttle body is clogged?? I've replaced the fuel pump but nothing happend.

    • @AskTheCarExperts
      @AskTheCarExperts  2 года назад

      Hi Daniel, This sounds like you are not getting fuel. If you spray into the throttle the vehicle is using the spray as fuel and starting. I would check fuel pressure to verify but it sounds like it could be a bad fuel pump.

    cant you find a way to keep the kick feature , as the sensor is small cant be fit to the right

    • @AskTheCarExperts
      @AskTheCarExperts  Год назад +1

      Hi Osman, Not sure if that would be possible but I would be worried that it may trigger when you would not want it to. Like if a bike rack was installed. Could cause damage.

  • @osman3605
    @osman3605 Год назад +1

    cant you keep the kick feature by placing the sensor to the right with a custom fitment?

    • @AskTheCarExperts
      @AskTheCarExperts  Год назад +1

      You could try but it usually is not enough to break the field. Also you wouldn't want it to accidentally activate when you don't want it to such as a biike rack installed.
