    Very nice video. Huge gaps between cars on so many trains drives me nuts but you are the first person I ever heard mention it.

    This is a great set. I have this set and a few other subway sets. I agree about not understanding why they don’t tell you the DCS options in the manual. I have the dcs companion and it’s very helpful. Great video!

    I absolutely love your layout! I’m in the middle of a basement renovation and my layout will be brand new. I’m taking notes from others and yours is in line with my own vision here. Not sure where you’re located but would be fun to see that in person sometime. I’m in South Central Pennsylvania here. I’m newer to having a permanent layout, but want to install the gravel and landscaping correctly and have multiple levels in certain areas. Thanks for all your postings! -Michael

    Thanks for the interesting background for the MTH DCS remote when programming the R40 subway system, Sean. A very thorough insight into the features and flexibility it offers.

    Sean thanks so much for this video. I have recently acquired some subways sets as well. This video will be helpful in programming them to run! By the way your history on these cars was spot on!

    Hi Sean - Thanks for the great, informative video! I always wondered if they were indeed sophisticated enough to be programmed to stop at an exact spot/stop. I believe the MTH Railking Brill trollies can also be programmed like this. Not the 'bump n go's'. I look forward to watching you build your 'EL'! Subscribed. - Best, Paul

    Hi. On the close ups of the remote I could see some dust particles. Being an asthmatic it made me wonder how you keep all your railway sets clean. Please could you do a video showing how you do all of that, I know it might sound boring but I’m sure other people like me would be very interested in that. Thank you.

    • @seanstraindepot
      @seanstraindepot  Год назад

      Yeah, the cameras are so good now they show everything but in reality, I can't see it if I just looked at remote. I have an attachment kit made for models and detailing that connect to my vacuum I bought on amazon. It cuts the suction so you can vacuum delicate models. I only do it like once a year.

    • @rremington3983

      @@seanstraindepot that’s interesting Sean, thanks for the message. Perhaps a video of how you do it, getting into awkward places, attachment you bought etc etc would be good at some point. Thank you.

    Do real Subway Cars just reverse at the terminal or do THEY go AROUND a LOOP to FACE the sane WAY They came

    • @tomstalzer5928
      @tomstalzer5928 Год назад +1

      They reverse

    • @Coreyt1976
      @Coreyt1976 Год назад +1

      At the last stop, the train operator taking the train out has to go to the other end of the train and start it to go back in the other direction. At some places there is a tunnel at the last stop. They will pull the train into the tunnel and then go to the other end of the train and bring it back in to go back the other way.

    • @FordEnthusiast413
      @FordEnthusiast413 Год назад +1

      There is one case where the train goes into a tunnel and goes through a loop and comes out on the opposite side of the station. Otherwise every last stop for a line involves the motor man walking to the opposite end of the train.

    Too bad you don't have the space, to setup a new york style layout for your subway.
