Super helpful review as always. These and the Fossilizers are sort of hard sells to me compared to the normal figures, but Sixgun looks too nice. Veeery thankful he he's still $20ish on ebay in 2022.
Personally, I’m considering Slammer to make a joke with my dad. He calls Blaster ‘Tapeatron’ and Megatron ‘Tankatron’ whenever he can, and just so I can have Blasting Blaster
@@PerspectiveEnd I'm talking about the part on the backpack where the peg on one of the legs sits in tank mode if it is facing one of the ports on it than the grey and bronze gun parts fit without issue
That's alot of work, it'd be on like 20+ figures and it'd probably be really long, I did do a retrospective on them a while back I think it was my 7th video ever.
Stop making me feel bad about the ER Optimus I bough and am waiting on! I just wanted a Gee-Oney Optimus, okay? Jk, but now I won't be able to pick up the figure and be excited without thinking "Oh my God look at those legs, why are they so long" I recently got into collecting figures I regret being this late for WfC. But we'll see what 2022 brings. Edit: 5:29 All is forgiven. You got yourself another like.
Do you have a Sideswipe, and does the character of Red Alert Matter to you. If Yes to Sideswipe then that color scheme is Tasty, but maybe go with a New Mold. If no, I think Red Alert is a fantastic figure, with much lesser compromises. And if you really care about Red Alert factor that in ontop of that advice.
2:25 Wait...IDW has the rights for Godzilla, and they've done a Ghostbusters, G.I. Joe, Star Trek and Back to the Future crossover already, plus characters like Omega Supreme and Trypticon...LETS GOOOOOOOOOO
2:24 one time my friend and I had like an hour long argument over who would win: every single Monsterverse Kaiju or every single G1 Transformer. We excluded any infinite horde like enemies (like the Seekers or Insecticons) and any Gods like Unicron. The argument was a while ago, but I’m pretty sure I won on the fact that most the Kaiju barely come up to Trypticon and Metroplex’s knees, and I still have all the combiners and Omega Supreme, along with all the “little” guys
I might use these to armor up my Earthrise "Optimus Apex" with Sixgun, Cromar and Ironworks. And armor up my siege Nemesis with Blunt, Airwave, and two Silverfangs.
@@PerspectiveEnd in my head canon, Optimus Apex is the clone from "A prime problem", reprogrammed to follow Prime's footsteps as a catalyst of Optimus Bodytypes. Apex's colors is basically Pepsi Optimus's red white and blue.
I do believe the alt modes for Ironworks is mostly for a gimmick that is basically is on life support that Hasbro refuse to let die, the Base Builder gimmick. where some of the transformers figures has a base builder mode to help add more to the base modes to stuff the the Titan class figures has.
I think the Idea was to make a line of toys where people would have to buy a TON of the same figures over and over again, to combine them all into an actual base. But they just weren't Lego enough to motivate people to do it.
you know, i would love to see someone combine all the weaponizers into either a combined altmode or a city mode, like some kind of based or a giant mad max vehicle
Pretty sure Ironworks is just supposed to be a repair base. He´d make good friends with Ratchet. Maybe he can be his apprentice, like First Aid in IDW. Will you make another "what´s the best weaponizer? The Revenge" with the fossilizers and Junkions later on?
for sixgun you can instead of ripping it's legs off you can rotate the waste for "more transformation" but for me the legs always want to fall of so I personally wouldn't
although I do disagree with your opinion on cog I am honestly really exited for the fossilizer's hopefully we get a official weponizer combiner sometime
I think weaponizing means your just doubling your power inpunt into a modified bot causing an increase of fire rate, strength, staima, and armor. Imagine doubling the power you produce to be able to do things, the limbs of the weaponizer are spread in such a way that they only take 50% of the 200%, the bot takes 100%, and that extra 50% is used to boost the user.
I theories that the weaponizers in the beginning were titan drones, like brunt being the chest of tripticon, so in general they wouldn’t really have a face
It's easy to respond to comments on old videos when you keep up to date on comments, because there's not a wall of unrespondeds between you and your newest replies. Provided RUclips bothers telling you at all.
I compared them to Legos, and yeah they do grant the user more freedom and self interpretation. They do a unique thing, I can't bring my self to hate them for it. Except for Cog.
I don't mind them either in fact I think cogs has a good looking robot mode but with the joints being just 5 mm ports they always will get loose and I mean the weaponizer cant really be one if it falls apart.
Great video, but when it comes to optimus' legs I've noticed that you inclues the part with the yellow lines. Those parts are meant to be apart of the waist, and are segmented to provide more leg articulation as the "iron diaper" of the siege design did limit how far the legs could move. Just an observation
I do cause unlike other figures it's not skirt armor, they look just like they are part of the leg. It would look a lot better to me if the legs did clearly stop at the split, but all that is just part of the leg assembly so I can't see it as anything but insanely long legs.
Ironworks would be SO MUCH BETTER if he was at least leader class, but Titan class would be an amazing size. Because, y'know, he turns into a location and not a vehicle
My copy of Cog is very sturdy (except the grey guns), and my only real complaint is the tab that attaches the vehicle mode together is a little flimsy, as if it was made too short.
My defense for Cog Cog is supposed to be two vehicles. The not wanting to stay together was just in your copy, mine was good. He has good articulation. Btw ironworks and airwave are modulators not weaponizers. And you forgot fasttrack
Fast track is a Repaint he does not count, and even if it was just my copy of cog that was so loose, it still made me get rid of it, so I don't have it, and can't rate the figures QC in totality. Siege was pretty consistent in QC, every Ironhides leg flaps pop off if you breathe on them, ever Starscream's chest won't stay on with glue. So I felt pretty confident that if my Cog was so crummy they'd all be crummy.
@@Awesomoso Oh oops, brain not work, I was thinking of Greasepit. Fast track wasn't out at the time of making the video, and I don't think a guy who turns into a big ugly spear for a titan class figure would have ended up too high on my list.
@@PerspectiveEnd on the topic of Greasepit, he actually is a gas station and I think he's really good overlooking the stickers (but that's a little difficult). My biggest problem with the weaponizers isn't even them but that the line doesn't have a standard placement so I have yet to find a decepticon that can use all of the modulators as intended. The closest I've gotten is Spinster but he doesn't really have a back port for any backpack configurations.

Gimmicks I hate, CAN make things I like. They might detract from those things, but they aren't guaranteed to make something I hate. These have other qualities, even special qualities conferred by the gimmick. Is it worth it. I don't know. But it's more worth it than typical partforming.
@@niceboifeast8838 Ok Magnus is different. You get an Acceptable figure with him, and then he's got armor. Like you can't fault a character for coming with a weapon. Same difference.
@@niceboifeast8838 Like I said, that may be the case, but I don't blame a figure for having a gun that pegs onto their vehicle mode. I also don't blame a figure for having swappable heads. @@PerspectiveEnd True vehicle mode does suck. I was able to use his body parts six guns and ironworks to make a cool combiner looking thing. His parts are amazing for making the combiner.

@@PerspectiveEnd ya I honestly can't wait to get my hands on one
I think weaponizing means your just doubling your power inpunt into a modified bot causing an increase of fire rate, strength, staima, and armor. Imagine doubling the power you produce to be able to do things, the limbs of the weaponizer are spread in such a way that they only take 50% of the 200%, the bot takes 100%, and that extra 50% is used to boost the user.
That is one way to interpret it, though it's never been directly stated by the media.
Just re watch your video today and everybody says the same thing about airwave the noise his gun makes is brilliant

That would be kind of cool yeah.
Transformers o ❤❤
Glad you enjoyed.
I think you may have gotten a bad copy of cog, mine doesn’t fall apart but I will agree with the weird proportions.
Yeah mines legs just feel off if you shook him a little at the waist, if I wanted to handle him, I had to constantly push his legs back into place.
My copy of Cog is very sturdy (except the grey guns), and my only real complaint is the tab that attaches the vehicle mode together is a little flimsy, as if it was made too short.

My defense for Cog
Cog is supposed to be two vehicles.
@@PerspectiveEnd who's Fast track a repaint of?
@@Awesomoso Oh oops, brain not work, I was thinking of Greasepit. Fast track wasn't out at the time of making the video, and I don't think a guy who turns into a big ugly spear for a titan class figure would have ended up too high on my list.

@@PerspectiveEnd I think that the hollow slot is suppose to face the port so when you put the parts in they have enough clearence to point up
