For those of you who dont know the story. Jackies mom passed away from cancer. And on the 1 yr anniversary of her passing he was also diagnosed with cancer. The sticky notes are his mothers actual sticky notes. She would write positive and encouraging messages on sticky notes and place them all around their house. He used one of the sticky notes as his album cover and also a title to another one of his songs called come back.
Hey bud, it’s been a while but I just had to come back to this song and listen to your amazing voice again. Feels like it’s been a heck of a whole lot longer than three years haha. Hope y’all are still going strong as ever with the new location and I hope I get to see all of ya in person again soon.
I was at a church conference in Atlanta about a week or 2 ago. And totally out of the blue he came out and performed for us this song. It was so powerful. It was a blessing to be able to experience it💕💕💕

Crying. I was on my 12 hour drive back to Tennessee from NJ last night . As I was about to enter the state of Tennessee this song played on my Wille Roadhouse station on Sirus XM Radio. I listened closely to every word. As I passed the Tennessee state line and welcome sign, the lyric “it’s been a long drive back to Tennessee, and I’m talking to you like you’re sitting next to me” .... It’s been a long year...... oh my i cried my eyes out. I can completely feel every word in this song. I lost my grandmother 5 months ago and my Father is going for a biopsy today. Dear Jackie Lee, I completely feel this song and every word. I’m sorry about the loss of your Mother and I hope you are doing better now. i don't know if anyone that has anything to do with this song will ever see this, and I don't often post comments to anything, but i heard this song on a day that I was at rock bottom and desperately needed it. i am a cancer survivor as well, and while I was going through chemo, my little sister had a stroke. she was a type 1 diabetic that had had health issues for a long time, but no one expected that at 28 she would have a stroke that would leave her almost paralyzed from the neck down and,blind. she fought like hell for another 8 months before she passed away. she was My person. its been about 5 months since she passed, a year since her stroke. in that time I fought cancer, separated from my husband of 17 years, lost my job, my home, everything. a very long year indeed. i would give anything to have her back. this song said so many things that I couldn't seem to put words to. Thank you so much

This song bro!! First time I heard it, not yet knowing the history of it, it moved me to tears, and I quickly identified that this Songwriter's been through something, easily one of those most powerful and relatable songs I've heard. The time I first heard it, was whenever I actually got to start my life over in a sense, it'll always be one of those songs that moves me because of that.

Woah my man I've seen you many times at HPC and I truly never knew you battled all of this. This song is amazing and I love the video. Your such a great inspiration on a lost soul as myself. It's strange to come across this vid/song. I just got back from visiting my mom who 1 yr ago beat cancer only for it to come back with a vengeance this yr. I just spent a week with her which may possible been my last visit while she is still alive. It's hard for me to explain the feelings that this song makes me feel, but It feels its right. , My mom is 84 and is now fighting Stage four Liver cancer and now we learned that it has moved to rest of her body but she chooses to keep fighting. The pain I feel is selfish because I am thinking hey I am loosing my Mom, But wow she is loosing her life. This song really is helping me to come to grips with this. I am all mommas boy . Thank you for this song.

Today I will bury my mom after a terrible loss to a very aggressive battle with cancer. Mom put up a fight but is now at peace with no pain. So in a way she won!! but i am losing a great person in my life. RIP mom you have done well. But to all out there who are still fighting the good fight against cancer , DO NOT GIVE UP!!!!
