I really apreciate your time to make this video, thanks to your kind heart I can have 3 renewed ESP32 that I thought that were garbage. I'm very thankfull, blessings! As a student this intel is so worthy
Hello martin could you please explain why there is a difference in the operation between the esp32s , why does the first esp32, that works properly only need the micro USB cable to work while the last one needs both the 5v supply and the micro USB to work?
So I have 145 12V LEDs connected with a microphone. Once I linked everything up and connected my 12V 2 amp power supply the 1117C 33 D248 component of the esp32 begins to smoke. Why is that?
@@martinstach6084 so I figured out the problem! Apparently I was powering the esp with 12v and it can only handle a max of 5v since it is rated for 3.7v. I figured the regulator brings it down to that range but since I was using 12v it was sending too much voltage. Now this is weird because it would work fine whenever I would make the same connections but on a breadboard. Anyway I fixed the issue by connecting the 12v LEDs to the 12v power supply then branched off a buck converter pushing 5v out and connected the esp32 and mic to that. Ended up working out 😎
my esp 8266 overheating while connecting to usb, pc showing power surge. connecting with external power only works while outputs are connected with esp. any fix?
Can you define which part of your microcontroller is overheating? Maybe you can send me your device and then I can try to find out what is the problem.
Hi Martin, nice video! Thank you. I have a dead esp32 t-dislpay. After watching your video I get to work it again, but usb don't works again as communication way. If I disconnect the external power keeps working with usb (now never boots from USB) but no COM link with computer. Do you know hoy solve it, to get communicate with the board? Thank you in advance!!
I'm facing a problem that when I connect my esp via the usb port the code is working perfectly, but whenever I use an external power supply the code stops and the esp just keep lighting doing nothing. do you have any idea regarding that? Thank you in advance.
pls be vegan animals al so have lifes Radhe Radhe those who got the solution pls pay the fees to a man indeed with food and water and some money Radhe Radhe
Great video. I had a broken ESP32 and after using an external power supply it started working again! Thanks.
Same thing
Thanks u so much for this video .i have saved so much money for buying this . Now its working again after my madness

Thank you so much for such an informative video. It worked for me.
thanks, just brought back life to my arduino nano with same method
Tkss for the Help! Fantastic... Congratulation
Gracias , tenía problemas con el ESP32. Y no sabía cómo resolverlo

Hi!, what diode I need to use?
Heel goed Bezig

Hi Metallica.....May I see your wiring diagram of your project? Than I can dive into this problem.

How looks the wiring diagram of your circuit?
very useful, was it the diode you pointed to ?
Yes. I think the diode was the problem.
my esp32 is giving me error "wrong chip id 0x0002" how do I fix this?
Check your fleshing parameters and choose the correct board. Please let me know if it works.
@@martinstach6084 ok thank you, I´ll let you know.
You find the problem, but not solve it.
I've solved my problem , but not yours? That's ok for me. Thanks for watching my video!
Good, but this is not a permanent solution
The permanent solution is to replace the diode. But I'm not about to solder such a small smd component. You can try it yourself. Good luck!
