    It's a wrong tutorial. If device is called as not recognised that means there is some issue with the communication basically happend due to hardware failure.
    You can even experiment if you cut one of the data wire from USB port you will get this error.
    This basically means the uart serial chip is fried or either the ESP is dead.

    How to reset the nodemcu.. Because my coding "hard resetting via rts pin" and my arduino IDE has no button reset method?

      Hi Aqib
      Usually, the RESET button can be found on NodeMCU board and not on Arduino IDE

    Thank you so much, for the esp32 wroom 32e I was having trouble connecting it to arduino ide and by following this along with holding down the boot button while the arduino was connecting to the esp32 through the new port I was able to start working on my project through my personal laptop, thank you again!

    hello sir
    in my case node mcu is blinking for 1-2 sec only. it is not detected by laptop at all in com port. I've installed all the drivers properly. looking for your help. Thank you

    • @BINARYUPDATES
      @BINARYUPDATES  2 года назад

      That blinking of on-board LED on NodeMCU has no significance. Please do check device manager if you're NodeMCU ESP8266 got COM Port detected by laptop. If so then select right COM Port for NodeMCU while uploading code.

      Hi Test T,
      You can try with other Micro USB Cable to connect NodeMCU ESP8266 with Laptop. NOTE: Make sure the quality of cable will be good. I have seen some cheap and low quality USB cable also cause this issue if not OS of computer. Wish you good luck!

    Edit: Turns out it was the driver causing the issue! I needed to use the 3.5.2019.1 version instead of the 3.8.2023.2 one. Now they work good.
    I can't get 2 different ESP8266 To connect at all. I've tried different drivers and still, it wont connect to it in Arduino IDE. Different data cables / regular ones and nothing works. Not really sure what's going on unless, both the boards are bad. A third ESP8266 does work fine though! (Uses the CP210x driver).
    The one that works says Node MCU on the back while, the 2 others says ESP8266 and the boards are bigger. Very frustrating! The other boards pup up as the CH340 driver. I just don't understand what's going on. Tried multiple drivers that I could find from tutorials.

    Sir someone please help me out,🙏 i am new to this field, i took nodemcu first ,it was ch340 driver,i tried all possible drivers, the only thing that was coming is that there are no suitable drivers for device, then i took cp2102 nodemcu, again today i tried all possible drivers, still same error is coming,i have windows 11, installing windows 11 was the worst decision in my life,i tried going to advanced option to check if windows had its own driver, that told there are no drivers for this device, even though i give the location of driver it still comes no suitable driver found.i have to submit project in this is few days, any help is very appreciated.

      Hi Karthik, please make sure you've used good quality of micro USB Cable. I've seen because of usb cable used for power or charging. Sometime NodeMCU ESP8266 doesn't detect to laptop. I hope changing Micro USB Cable may help you. Good luck!
