A topic that would be helpful for older adults. How workers compensation effects seniors and Social Security, Medicare Set Aside and Internal Revenue Service. Thank you for the exemplary information. Great coverage and team work.

I retained Michael Burgis and Associates - I believe my going with them sped up this process quite a bit - every thing jumped off almost right away. I was out of it - they went to work - I started receiving temp disability payments about 2-3 weeks later. I'm currently going through it - I don't mind the 15%-18%

It's gone up to 18-20% for attorneys now. Which sucks

Should I be communicating with workers Comp and my employer, even though I have a lawyer?.. I'm so frustrated with my lawyer right now! My deposition didn't go well, I felt like he could have object to some questions and comments the other side was asking? But he didn't. I never heard from him unless I called him about the workers' insurance and canceled my appointment with their doctor.
    I am at lost here!

from my experience, the employer and their insurance will not look out for your best interest. they are in the game to save money which in turn fuck you over. your lawyer interest is the same as yours, because they get a percentage of your awards at the end.

My employer is a non for profit employer, they refused to give me workerman comp paperwork. The story i was told that they were working with corporate. 4 months when by, I had a meltdown and the paperwork was thrown at me. Can they be sued for withholding my claim. I am now two years from injury date. Appreciate your advice. I am in Orange County. Injury was northern california.
