You should include the minimal level needed to make these builds. The legendary perks alone are a big gateway for most players
The minimum level is 50. Can’t get legendary perks until then.

This is my build for the past few years. I swap Better Crits and Bloodied perk every so often. I share Gun Fu with my team and someone always thanks me! I'm still wearing a full set of Unyielding SS, I haven't tried Scout Armor.
Definitely do a beginners guide! Especially with the tv show coming out, new players will need the basics.

Ive used commando for like 6 months, gets boring cause too easy. Now I run different weapons, im liking gamma gun gunslinger aristocrat, love my 2shot missile launcher...armor is 4 pieces of weapon weight reduction, if u have adrenal reaction, nerd rage, bloodied weapons, u only need like 2 or 3 damage cards, u can still dish out very decent damage. Im also loving powder guns, got 3 pistols to bypass reload time...most stuff die 1 hit

I wish they added the option to area pick up all ammo or to allow a single click to pick up ammo below five. .45 loves dropping in 2 or 3 and you have to sit clicking away to pick it up one at a time.

@@arthurrybakovas6074 yup, that was the point of my original post. My main has WWR armour etc so it's not as big a deal but running an alt I don't always want all the added junk that comes with take all but would like to get my ammo back. 🙂

Hi Turtle, nice build. It is has been my go to build for years. You did'nt mention the extra damage from food buffs which you are an expert at. As you know, these really boost your damage for boss fights... Good stuff.
Crits dont ignore armor it ignores %damage resist only and boost damage by your percent crit damage multiplier. DR and ER is the only thing protecting against crit damage
running almost the same build with my choo-choo! i use Electric Absorption legendary special card instead of master infiltrator so i can run stealth commando and pa build(for dops) so it is hybrid build.
Edit: i use grocer's backpack and whenever i need rad resist i use my Chinese stealth armor and its on my quick inventory
I also run a choo choo build, call it "Noise Commando" because it is the opposite of stealth (actually can do stealth surprisingly well though). My build is also tweaked to work at full effect (using Nuka Dark to max up Luck) in power armor or CSA. The versatility makes it a really fun build. There's a few things (common to almost all my builds) I do differently than Turtle, but those are pretty minor and in some cases he mentions them as options. One big one is I use Far Flung Fireworks instead of Follow Through, since I'm not caring about silenced weapons for any damage purposes. It's a good boost at mob rush events.
Lately I’ve been having a lot of fun with a classic min/ max commando build. I posted the special on a forum. I don’t know which surprised me more. The number of people who didn’t know what a min/ max build is. Or the number who didn’t know how to read bonuses and de buffs. 😅
Ive been running a science commando build all month! I loooove it! I NEVER use stealth, just prefering the run and gun playstyle. If you get reduced AP cost on the tesla rifle it can easily be used in VATS and and kills hoards just as well as fixers and handmades
I love the tesla rifle it has nice cosmetics and sound effects too
Yeah, I tried a Tesla for clearing West Tek today and was absolutely shocked at how effective it was. I got super lucky on my roll - Quad, Weapon Speed, Durability. AP cost wasn't really an issue as I'm already built and buffed for max AP, plus by the time I run out of AP, the fight is down to mop up stages and manual shooting can manage that.

The +15 extra Agility from my Unyielding SS set eliminates the need to use a dedicated stealth set of gear when sneaking around, plus it is super tanky for non-stealth public events. I cannot stand the noise and recoil of the Railway gun, so I use a Quad Explosive Handmade, set up with a Suppressor and to have a great range with nearly zero recoil and not BANG BANG BANG, to tag (typically from a high perch) in public events. I have my B2525 Fixer for "everyday use."
But rail lets you solo Earle in 20 seconds :
@@timurdos That is a situation where stealth is useless and you cannot escape from enemies, so using the Rail is ideal, even if it is noisy. The whole event is noisy.

@@nathan43082 escape artist and spring behind something and crouch again. They lose you. Also, constantly move after unloading, they don't see you but they run to the place where damage came from.

I play this game since the beginning and have 25 characters. Only one is past (a little) 300 level. Most of them are in the 100-199 level. So... would be useful for. Thanks again for your offer, looking forward to it!
BTW, I no longer consume any food, just Purified Water, Coffee and a bit of that AP food thing that came out recently to have in Camp.
Would have loved a nukedragons build to go with this guide, but I can figure it out.. in like 6 months when I get to the levels I need for the legendary perk cards xD Thanks for the guides though, I have been using your starter one for commandos and loving it.
I have always used this build. My Q E 25 Fixer and Q FFR FR Railway are lethal. Luck is maxed so Vats criticals are overkill.
I love this. Some day when you have time, I would like to see the performance difference between this same character being a Carnivore. 33 Luck is certainly easier to attain with a higher percentage of health. Now that Critical Damage is additive will the difference be so great?
My favorite build; i dont use scouts armor i have SS unyielding with one rank of sneak no escape artist and my sneak is real good. Also stopped using serendipity since i dont die that much anymore, i tend to keep my distance at high grounds when possible. I think people underestimate the hand made, fixer does a little bit more damage but the hand made has way more vats accuracy. Gun fu is a great perk, during a boss fight if you can kill a couple of enemies before hitting the boss you will see a nice difference.
Handmade > Fixer all day!! I don't like how much the fixer's barrel moves when you move around

Also out of Vats, Handmade has less recoil.
Although I main a heck of a beast railway, my silent secondary option is always either Handmade or Elders Mark when I feel spicy.

But i think ive found this one to match my play style, and you showcased weapons that i actually like to use as well.
Now to reset my whole character and mold him into a fine stealth commando.

Yup this B Commando vision is pretty much what I have been running for a while now on my main.
My only problem is getting the blankety, blank, full Unyielding Covert Scout Armor set.
I can't get it to roll, keep getting Z, M and everything but UY.
I do have 2 pieces of CS UY so far though.
So far I am having to keep using my UY SS, which is good, but not really sneaky enough for close in shooting.
Oh well guess I will just keep shooting at range until it rolls right

Thats strange..i dont have unyielding, i use wwr pieces, only have 19 agility being carnivore (friedradroach or scorchb lung gives me +8 agility) 2 points in sneak, 1 escape artist...i can shoot close to enemies, dont get detected....maybe ur armor too heavy, making too much noise?....try card that reduces armor weight

I have found the problem, I got my UY SS Armor so long ago, that I forgot it doesn't have any Muffled or Shadowed Stealth mods for it for sneaking.
I’m late to the video, and bow to your superior build, though I won’t change much of my own as I just discovered the perk (after at least 8-12 months away) that makes my rifles way less, and Class Freak (despite your insane specials scores thanks to unyielding).
I’d like to see your beginner build too. So a vote for that please.
This is great. I will try it as well when i have enough skillpoints left :D. I wonder if the heavy energy weapons like gatling plasma or holy fire flame thrower do benefit from science perks as well?

You meant dps right? It would be significant. I ran fh/commando/fixer build for a while, and I never had those damage number...
Most people in this game does not have older legendary cards maxed out. I wish you guys would put out more videos on lower level builds people that's not at a thousand and above

Would love to see beginner information. I have just started playing with perk and legendary cards.
Instead of Tenderizer and Serendipity, try Suppressor and Bloody Mess
Unless it's a Boss fight, Tenderizer is pointless. As you just showed as you were one-shotting enemies, it might occasionally save you a bullet at most, whereas Bloody Mess gives you 15% more damage immediately. Serendipity only gives you "a chance" of protection, whilst Suppressor guarantees it (if you attack first of course).
So you get more damage from the first shot, on every target, but also in a Boss fight you're doing more damage than Tenderizer, plus reducing the damage output of the Boss by 30% every time you shoot it... Unless they have those hidden attributes that you are so good at finding, it seems better
IMO you usually die to stuff you havent attacked first so Im not sure about Supressor, but freeing up Luck slots is nice I guess. Bloody Mess I heard only interacts with the base base damage AKA it doesnt stack with anything and ends up giving like 15 damage even to a Railway Rifle.

Hey Turtle, Idk if this is a bug or not but doesn't matter how many scout pieces I use, in my pip-boy says I have only 5% of stealth bonus. In this case, wouldn't be better to use full secret service with 1 scout only?
Is it better to have concentrated fire at lvl 1 and comando at 2 to upgrade ground pounder to 3? I say it thinking about of having comando at 3 and concentrated fire at 3
Great build, but you mentioned the enclave flamer, I thought that was a rifleman weapon?( Edit: wasn't aware of the update so the flamer is commando, I'm quite pleased about that )
Not anymore, it was fixed a few months back so it now counts as commando weapon.
@@RoachAndRizla that's great because that works way better with my main build. I've been running an aligned auto B50c25 EPR instead of my B50c25 EPR aligned flamer (or my others, I collect encaves) lately. This will make life much easier since I don't run many rifleman weapons.
Played the game at launch. Was on the shelf for 4 years. In honor of the TV show, I started a new character yesterday and starting fresh.
Im trying to make a build like this but I wanted to take it as far as I could so not only are perk/legendary perk combinations important, but my legendary armor is too.
Viewing most builds and how people feel about what tends to hinder them such as not having the chems or food they want, dying to melee/fire/poison, holding a small amount of weapons/ammo.
Those are the problems people tend to face and they often sacrifice things to get it. (Ie. Not having max rank gunsmith so you can have batteries included, or running only energy or balistic rifles, or Funky Duds filling up a legendary perk)
From what Ive seen Angry Turtle has said +50 poison resist is enough to let you survive most poison sources, 100 or more poison resist and you can ignore all poison damage. In my opinion a stealth commando isnt min maxxing damage resist that would be for a tank commando. As a stealth commando I plan to use rank 1 funky duds (50 poison resist) until I get 2 +25 poison resist armor pieces.
From what ive seen people tend to go with a full ammo weight set or food drink chem weight set of armor, this removes the harder to detect legendary affect and I want that as a stealth commando.
Instead of doing a full set of wwr or awr I propose using 3 armor pieces with ammo weight reduced and put 1 rank into bandolier+batteries included
(+60% ammo weight reduction armor + 45% bandolier =105% ballistic ammo weight, 60% armor weight + 30% batteries included=90% energy ammo weight) so no matter the ammo weight you need to reduce you only need 3 ammo weight armor and 1 perk each put into the ammo weight (important fact almost all perks that reduce weight max out at 90% so any higher isnt needed)
Doing this set up allows you to save perk points, put on harder to detect and have 1 wwr piece (arms dealer reduces rifle weight by 75% so one wwr piece would give you 95% rifle weight meaning you can hold a lot more guns)
Also from what ive seen you get diminished returns when you have more then 3 ap refresh pieces and poison resist is more necessary when you cant use funky duds)
To simplify what Ive put down so far 1. The best build for stealth commando also relies and the armor. 2. You do not need funky duds for stealth commando 3. The best armor set is Uny Ap Awr on 3 pieces with Uny +25 PR HTD on 1 and Uny +25PR WWR on the last piece
My build will look very similar to angry turtles and I can drop my Nukes & Dragons build if anyones interested, the only real difference that describes my build compared to angry turtles is that I plan to main and be able to use all rifles and carry all rifles. I also want my weapons to have gunsmith max rank (could use lifegiver +radicool instead but everyone has a preference)
Also I have field surgeon on to help survive poison damage that hits harder
Final bit of info is the reason I wanted max rank gunsmith was so with weapons like the gausse rifle that does both energy and explosive damage i can swap gunsmith for demo expert
I dont put fire resist because asbestos lining adds around +12 fire resist + you cant be set on fire+fire proof reducing damage by 45%. I feel like you have enough stuff affecting fire unlike poison .

Sound? Yeah it's too loud lol I had to lower the Sounds volume specifically because of the Railway Rifle.
Question if you can help please, or someone in comments, on the build you’ve put science all three cards to increase damage on energy weps, But suggested using a flamer and fixer which I don’t think come under energy weps, maybe I’m wrong, but checking as I’m building this build the now and prefer to use my fixer.

What’s a good build for events and daily ops. Stealth commando doesn’t seem to work anymore
What is Ground Pounder even good for? Just the reload speed? I guess I can see it as optimization, but wouldn't maxed out Concentrated Fire be better?
Those +5 points in each from the legendary perk card really do the heavy lifting i'm coming to realize
I used to play a lot of bloody commando, but I recently switched to Heavy Weapon PA. The main reason is the rad management. It is ok for everyday usage, but what if you must fight a scorch beast queen inside the nuked zone? Or Daily Ops with piercing sight mutation? PA builds feel more versatile to me.
This isn’t a PA build video but ok...
Hazmat suit for nuked zones....for daily ops, remove rads till u have around 75% health, now up to you to keep urself alive...and this is a rare daily op combination, but 90% of time youll fight stuff that get owned by this build. For daily ops, also keep distance and use nuka grenade with level 1 grenadier
@@Hamburger007-iq7vd I agree. This is what I used to do, and it worked well. I don't claim that commando build can't handle such situations. I say it's easier for me with PA. Definitely, I die way less often, even without being careful. Nevertheless, I still enjoy commando building a lot.
Impressive dmg! It reminds me of my old bloodied lvl 5 glitched laser back in the day before they nerfed and patched it. One-shotted most creatures and sliced through scorchbeasts, mirelurk queens and kings, etc like a hot knife through butter...not to mention the super range with no diminishing dmg no matter how far away the target was. It was so irritating that they got rid of the OP weapons, especially since it took some of us so long to acquire the god rolls. Its cool to see that we can still reach powerful amounts of dmg still today without cheats or legacies. I've been running a bloodied stealth commando build for years, as I just love handmades and fixers. Its good to know about the science perks now. Thanks for the info!

How do you get Born Survivor to not eat all of your Stimpaks? Been trying Unyielding Armor and had health set at 20% but noticed I kept getting Stimpak notification and when checking inventory, was empty of stimpaks, when I started with like 10.

Question-Doesnt Lifegiver not matter as a Bloodied build since u will still need to be at 20% health so I would just need more rads then making Lifegiver kind of a waste and taking up 4 points on top of that

I got a anti armor fixer with 50% crit damage 25% less vats cost.

you can cut it down by removing/doing master infiltrator last. that is just a quality of life card.
aside from the chest piece for the jetpack, why does it matter what armor you have so long as it's unyielding?

Can someone advise me....I have an instigating explosive and a armour pen explosive fixer. The armour pen explosive does significantly more damage in westtek mutants than the instigating. even the first shot is ~= at 270 or so, with the armour pen as the instigating does even on the first hit..then all subsequent hits are also 270 on the armor one, while the instigator drops down to like 170 on all secondary shots...so why would turtle use the instigator? garnted he has some crit legendary stuff on his....but it seems the armor version is so much better overall? I take far fewer shot to kill these.

I see a lot of people not running Class Freak anymore. Has something changed that does not make it necessary anymore? Or is it because positives of Strange in Numbers makes the negatives of not equipping Class Freak negligible? I feel like I can use the extra 3-points but it's hard for me to imagine not running Class Freak.

I have a Quad/faster fire/15 vats railway rifle that I’m using and for some reason critícals do not work. I have another Anti armor explosive that works fine.
Is this a known bug? Or am I missing something?

It happens every time. In VATS. The crit meter fills up and when I try to activate the crit it does nothing. The crit meter even stays full most of the time. Not sure how it resets. Only happens with my faster fire Rail Rifle. The others work fine. Thought maybe it had to do with the automatic and faster fire maybe causing something.

How do u deal with rads in nukezones with this bloodied build without a power armor? I always have that issue
I came back to FO76 for kicks before FOLON. But I'm getting one shot by the bosses and I don't enjoy spending hours getting max daily stuff and gambling to get zero piece I need to get to a good build. Seems it hasn't changed since I stopped playing, only people that play 100% of the time every day might be having fun at this game.
Besides using good with salt, can I use Class freak as an alternative? or would the benefits not be as good. The only other perk card I want to use is bloody mess but you mentioned that the benefits is not worth it.
Can you do a guide about what consumables work best for comando and power armor build and how to craft them ? or if you have one already can you send me a link please :D

That is called V.A.T.S. if you are on Playstation Hold L1 on an enemy but you won't be able to aim for the head unless you have a certain perk that let's you, I forgot what it was called, but if you are on Xbox Hold LB

Maybe they changed it, but I thought the plasma flamer was boosted by Rifleman, not Commando.

How do you get +60 space in your backpack with the grocery mod installed? I think it was +30 the max capacity of that mod
you need regular backpack not the small one
for some reason i get detected quite fast and i have all unyielding scout armor pieces with perks and shadow mods etc

I noticed no Stealth card in agility. Is this because it would be capped with covert scout? What if you were using SS armor...still no sneak card?
there's no cap but at some point you are basically undetectable

I run SS with one rank of sneak and works just fine for me
What's the highest damage number for any weapon in the game? Which weapons are numerically the top ten?
Depends on your build.
Probably plasma caster, assaultron head, and war glaive. Those were the top hitting weapons that I’ve found

I am almost level 150. There doesn't seem to be any like what we should do.
I assume that the legendary special perk card doesn't really matter. I have 3* strength so could I not lower strength special by 3 and then up a different stat I don't have legendary perks in by 3?or does it kit work like that.
I was sent here because I'm doing a bloody build and I would love to have a beginner's one I would greatly appreciate it

How do you run this build in events, expiditions and Ops outside of normal gameplay, where sneeking does not work and all advatage has been lost from DPS? You just get into Power Armour? Have a differnt laoadout for these events?

I know it might stink at first to drop it but honestly it doesn't make a huge difference in my game play. And yes better perks to use
@ashwilliams7964 I was honestly torn on using it tbh. The bump in sheer special points has always been my reason to run it tbh but I always felt I'm not using those points in the build anyway 😅
When i go sneak im always in danger in events, does the sneak bonus dmg still work?
it doesn't devs had a brilliant idea to disable sneaking in some events
