Wow! Hard to believe that a DC-9-15 was still flying when this was recorded. Note that it doesn't have any leading-edge slats. Thanks for sharing and "Happy Landings!"
WOW!!! Haven't seen much action with the Goodyear Blimp in a while, not since my earlier years of living down north of Houston and near where the blimp's hangar once stood in Spring, Texas.
Excellent work! I always get excited when you post since your video style is very similar to mine... GR8 WORK!! several great catches here + a B17 that i’ve flown on before and a blimp! B!G thumbs up.
Are you from Michigan? Willow Run is such an historical area obviously because of WW2. Are there other airports similar to WR? My father used to fly business trips out of WR!!! Great stuff btw
Oh yeah, Detroit is a very safe city in my opinion. There are only a select few neighborhoods just outside the city that are a little sketchy, but almost all outer suburbs are very safe, including Ypsilanti (where Willow Run is).
@@LeppAviation Excellent! Good for them. Nice to see Connie buying more equipment. Some of those 747-100s and 200s were dinosaurs but were getting the job done. Kalitta Air has a small office at LAX but contracts out their aircraft maintenance
@@vistalite-ph4zw I loved seeing those fly over my house. Though they never really flew into YIP, I flew up to their maintenance base in Oscoda last week and saw at least 15 of them waiting to be scrapped. Very unfortunate
its the goodyear blimp and its not a zeppelin those were german and much bigger than a blimp aka the Hindenburg & what is Oscoda MI DTW miss flying in the baby 9 as a pax
Yes it is a Goodyear blimp, but they don't make them. Luftschiffbau Zeppelin makes the blimp, so yes, it is a Zeppelin. Oscoda is a former Air Force Base, now turned Kalitta maintenance base and aircraft graveyard.
That falcon landing was......something...
Dang! I didn’t know YIP could handle the 777!! Beautiful work as usual man!

I wonder which one of those 4+ landings did that Falcon pilot put in their logbook? Excellent vid!
It is fascinating how they keep so much old aircraft so well maintained.
WTF was up with that Falcon 20 landing, amazed it didn't crash.
mrvwbug44 crazy!
That’s crazy that a 777 flew in there
Really cool seeing that B-17 taking off
Great collection of oldtimers :) Awesome video!
Excellent , Its great to see real planes !
I’ll take a day of seeing a mix like that over any of the boring look-a-like twins that fill the big airports nowadays. Thanks Lepp!! Well done!!
Nice video! And nice old planes!
Fantastic shots at Detroit Willow Run Airport mate
Damn this place has some relics

Haha! Thanks Jay! I'm looking forward to your next video as well!
Best planespotting)
Amazing old plane)
Fantastic video! Loved seeing all the oldies. Especially that MD-83.
Not a single Airbus in sight . love it.
Yeah, I just realized after you mentioned, only euro birds are classic Dassault Falcons, which I love, btw.
Love the video! 😍 Great footage!
Nice collection there❤😎👍!
Great filming as always!
That's a good year Zeppelin
Love those DC-9's!
I don't know if you know this, but the highest resolution available for this video is 360p (far from the 4K advertised) :P
Yep I know, lol. It takes a little bit for RUclips to render it to 4K
@@LeppAviation RIP. Never seen a video from Ypsilanti by the way, so thanks for that experience :)
@@LeppAviation RUclips is taking ages to render to 4K, i have that problem also!
Great catches that falcons bounces tho
You make really great videos!

Nice! Is that part of Detroit a “safe” place by chance?

How do you get the text at the top. Is there a certain editing software that lets you do that?
Noice.I was there for some of that lol
I didn't know Kalitta Air was doing lifts for DHL...🤔
Yep, they have a contract to fly routes for them!

good job
I take it this runway technically is too short for a 777? That was a wild takeoff?
5R/23L is just over 7500 feet, plenty for a 777. This was just part of proving runs back and forth from Oscoda, so it was completely empty.

What does the title mean?
Atlantic Arctic what do you mean? 🤦♂️it tells you that this video is about plane spotting at Detroit Willow Run Airport!
He probably means why the title said YIP7 25
Just the title of the raw file. I hadn't put the actual title yet.
Lepp Aviation oh ok
XA-UZI?
4:00 wow..
Wow 03:55. That's old.
