UAB researchers establish optimal immunosuppression regimen for pig-to-human kidney transplants

UAB professor of surgery, Dr. Jayme Locke, describes how research in the Parsons model series conducted by her team and published in the Journal of Clinical Investigation found that currently used FDA-approved transplant drugs are the optimal immunosuppression regimen for pig-to-human kidney transplants.
