Magical Mystery tour is one of the best albums to me. Very trippy and contains 5-6 of the best Beatle songs ever made. People that told you to skip this must not know Beatles music. This is basically a soundtrack for a film so many don't consider it a studio album and it does have stuff on it that is more soundtrack oriented. Many all time classics are on here and its full on stoner type music.
This album has so many hits, so many of their best songs! Strawberry Fields, I Am the Walrus, Hello, Goodbye, Penny Lane, Fool on the Hill...Great album.
This is why I watch your videos. You guys hear things in music that I have missed, even on records I have listened to for 50 years. Fresh ears! Thank you!
Guys, you made the perfect Album Choice. And Ringos drumming really shines on this opening track. As I’m typing this while watching. He just changed his entire time pattern. And La you caught it, your eyes lit up. You can’t do The White Album without listening to this one. Enjoy it my friends. Well enjoy watching them with you. Peace and Continues Success ❤
This is album is definitely NOT one to be overlooked. The songs are some of their most innovative and trippy. Their will be plenty of smiles in your future while listening to this!! Get ready to enjoy!😁😵💫😄
For historical accuracy the term "ROLL UP" goes back many years in Great Britain. It was used by barkers trying to gather a crowd much like "Step Right Up. That being said it made me appreciate the double entendre that much more. Great writing as usual. Such depth.

Maybe folks said skip it because it's essentially a collection of singles and soundtrack songs for the 'Magical Mystery Tour' movie that they made for TV rather than a proper album. It's not to be skipped though, it's top stuff.
I'm in the car listening to your video, and I said to my friend that this album gets no love and it's one of my favorites. Then you guys say that people told you to skip it!! Crazy. Enjoy the ride!

In the UK a Mystery Tour was when you bought a ticket for a coach trip not knowing where you were going to end up. The Beatles added Magical, because they could. The TV film that these songs belonged to began with the Beatles on a coach with a crowd of other people (many of them famous Brit TV names) and after a while the Tour got very psychedelic, as you can see in the videos for songs like I Am The Walrus. The album seemed to come in two formats - one was standard vinyl album size (which I didn't see till much later, and may have been an import), and one was two vinyl singles size, in a luxury booklet format containing many pages of photographs and text sandwiched between the singles. This was the version I had for many years. Watching the first broadcast of this show on TV in 1967 was one of the highlights of my adolescent life!
i think I already responded to this video but it's worth a repeat. I got a real kick out of your reaction! So much fun watching you react to "Roll Up"! Like Che, I heard this song millions of times and it never occurred to me that it was an invitation to roll up a joint. And I had just started smoking at the time of this album's release. Makes total sense. Thank you for the observation! And yes, the album Magical Mystery Tour is a gem! Thank you for covering - and super appreciating - its songs!

Yellow Submarine - the album has a few not-previously-released songs. 1 of them is Hey Bulldog. There is an actual video of this song.
