Just watched your NL tutorial. Just beautiful! Where did you buy your stars? Can you use a waterslide for the trees if you don’t have the ability to make a stencil? Thank you for sharing.
I dont know where the stars came from they've been in my bin of cheap glitters for over 12 years.... could be walmart for all I know... however I'm out and on the hunt for more! I don't think a waterslide for the trees would work all that well unless you printed trees on white and fussy cut all around them... I'd be more inclined to hand cut a tree line to use as the paint mask myself
How long should you let your initial thin layer sit before applying micas? All of your NL cups are amazing! I was hoping we would get to see some actual NL last night. But none that I saw in my area sadly. (Arkansas)
Ah wouldn't it be great if I'd said how long I waited.... 🤷♀️🤦♀️ my guess is no more than 10 minutes I applied the resin to this cup then a few more then set up to do the micas.... seeing them for real is a bucket list item for me!
Great job! Funny you shared this tonight because the northern lights is visible further south tonight than normal. I'm in northern Tennessee and unfortunately it's cloudy as all get out but I hope others get to see them. Just wondering how this technique would look using interference colors 🤔
We had a chance at seeing them tonight here too but clouds and rain 😪 ooohhhh I may have to round up some interfere and give it a try for the next one....
@@RaesTurquoiseTurtle yeah, rain was suppose to move out of our area by lunch but it's rained and drizzled all day. I've been working on snowflake Christmas ornaments with chunky crystal iridescent glitter and thinking about throwing some blue interference in them. May do that tomorrow
WAIT A SECOND. I’ve been trying to make the northern lights for a month now for a client. This is the only compelling video that I’ve seen.
I find I get it right about half the time no matter which way I do it. They are not my favorites 🩵
@@RaesTurquoiseTurtle definitely. I’m hating this project because it always ends up too smokey and I’ve done 20+ test pours. All come out different :/
Wow such beautiful colors!
Right this is soo easy this way I have another bear cut out to do and I'm sooo doing it like this!
That is a great way to do the northern lites Tyvm for the tutorial
So much easier!
Never used mica powders but after seeing this I have to try. Love this effect!
Ooohhh you should definitely get some micas I really need to use them more for videos I guess! Those big packs from Amazon are great!

Beautiful work! Can you use mod podge or triple thick as the sealer? I've heard so many negative things about epoxy. Thanks.
I would not , look into crystalac as an alternative if the epoxy isn't your thing. I've not used it myself so I can't really comment much on it.
Pretty
Thanks!
This came out fantastic! Absolutely love it!
Thanks so much!
I haven’t seen this technique, it’s awesome! Came out great!💜
I'm not sure who did it this way first I kept seeing 30 seconds of it on tik tok figured I'd give it a shot!

Ohhh sounds pretty!
Have you tried the glow Mika?
I have a bunch of assorted glow (powders) micas I use. Most of mine are cheaper varieties.
@@RaesTurquoiseTurtle I have some but have not tried them yet , just wondering if they acualy glow or is it a black light thing .
