I love the WotL version with the new features such as the new cutscenes and script. The only reason I'd rank it below the psx version is cause of how troublesome it is to access the extra multi-player content in it now.
@J7Jase I've not tried the psspp emulator too much yet on it, but I imagine it be similar to the app on my PC. May look into it once I'm done with Lion war Remix. Just beat it to unlock continue/ng+ but still have DD to do yet
All the reasons you said about FFTA2 is the reason I ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT! Its vast, its slice of life, its an adventure! When you achieve something, it actually feels great because you know youve worked hard on it. I relate to Luto. Hes just a normie like us gamers. Thats why he is more relatable. Not to mention....I lowkey think the animation is the best of them all. Like how Pokemon Sapphire, Ruby and Emerald had the best animation too. Its giving a happy adventure life. Just like those manga isekai Ive used to read. Isekai today seems so ridiculous, doing too much.

They’re all great in their own ways (maybe aside from FFTS) My personal theory for FFTA2 being lackluster on the main story, is that Luso is meant to be a Self insert character, despite his absurd appearance, which as I’ve stated before, I love the absurdity in his look
They are all fine games however FFT and FFT WOTL are honestly in a league of their own in my opinion. It can be timeless. That is plausible my theory is that the development team put more into WOTL over FFTA2 because they knew it would sell better. I still liked Luso though and FFTA2 granted I only played it last year.
@@J7Jase Luso has the "pokemon trainer" look. As you mentioned, FFTA2 did great on a lot of a side quests having a lot of variety. A lot of job upgrades too and items. My theory on that was because maybe there were complaints on FFTA being a bit too fast paced. Imagine if they instilled the harsh law cards and jail system of the a1. I wouldn't mind but there would be probably a lot more frustration and resets. The game would no doubt move much slower. I recalled trying to find the right cards, resetting the mission or skipping some because of the harsh laws. On the second one, half the time I would just skip the judge rules.
I remember Square blatant lying saying that the PSP version has no slowdowns and it was the same as the PSX version lol, I couldn't stand it, as the battles already are very long, every time a chocobo used choco-cure it took AGES!!! I own the cellphone version but they had to add an visual controller instead of tap command, the game UI isn't big enough for that. Just a little suggestion, since you already made a tier list of the jobs, but why not a tier list of the best sub to worst classes now? Thanks!

JSeven, they do not make games too efficient since they would lose money doing that. I find that older games could be improved with modern technology. As a purist I like to leave them how they are. We can create one system that can host anything we program. It's not hard to design a game from the ground up. It needs a shit ton of options to have replay value. All tactical RPGs got too easy for me. Even chess does not give me a huge challenge. Though I bet not as many people play as often as we do. I can make a near-perfect game myself. It would be similar to FFTs yet with more options.
It depends. Things like the budget, marketing etc. all have costs so it can be hard. As for the difficulty of the games I only mention the first FFT being harder than the Advance games. Being difficult doesn't make a game better in my opinion. I just like the overall feel of FFT and WOTL better from the characters gameplay and so on.

WotL will always be the best because of its accessibility!
Best emulator in my opinion and the changes to Rapha, extra content and all that are so great.

I actually enjoyed FFTA2 alot. It started off slow but there was alot of content and things to unlock.
I like FFTA2 a lot as well and it's a fine game. But to me it's just not as fun as the first game or as good compared to FFT and WOTL.
