Conte has had this filed and ready to go for weeks now. This wasn't a rant purely because off of this game. This was a rant built up from months of frustration with the board, of dispassion from the players, and maybe also from him now fully realizing that he wants out.

Sell literally everyone not in the youth academy, start from scratch. Find the best scouts in europe, grab a bunch of consistent mid tier players who play for passion not money and bring them in wont cost you even 120 mil. Then after that grab some more in the january window to shore up and cement the culture. After that you can spend the following summer filling in gaps with superior players but keeping the first group for their loyalty and passion so they can be played when your better players need rest

Yes Levy spent and bought in players. However, the players he bought were not first choice players and probably not second choice players. Irony aside, the main of his point was correct- as is his praise of Arteta as a man manager. Spurs finished above them and are now miles behind; less than a year has passed. That’s not simply due to a gap in spending; it’s systemic failure on all levels, and there is an onus on the manager to improve what he has, not simply frame himself as a matyr.
Trouble is Levy hired Conte and he needs to a manage a certain type of player, same as Simeone. The weak bunch of prats at Spurs aren’t going to handle his style and step up. They aren’t cut out for adversity 🤷🏼♀️ That was blatantly obvious when Mourinho lost the tie against Dinamo Zagreb in Europa.

Conte voicing what Spurs fans have been saying for years. Likely its a combination of players not being quite good or motivated enough - a lot of the shortcomings (not all, but a lot), fall at the feet of the players. So far - they've largely shouldered little or no blame, Conte was right to call them out, if behind the scenes he's tried to change the mindset, but met with no response. It's not like he's the only manager we've had who's struggled to get this bunch to show any consistency!

Totally agree - LFC fan - and it's not exclusive to Spurs. They had the same problem for years at Utd, until the board actually listened to Ragnick and Ten Hag. They got rid of their biggest problems -Pogba and Ronaldo - and they've improved. Tell me Pogba and Ronaldo have gone on to better things!
Chelsea have this problem, as well. To a lesser degree, so do Liverpool - VVD has spent all season sulking, and TAA hasn't put a shift in for about three years.

@@TheWorldsGoneMad2022 it’s the tactics and more so the formation he plays, and he doesn’t change it , for anyone, it simply doesn’t work here, I can take 1-0 all day long but as soon as you don’t win or score it starts to look very bad,and we go from 2 -3 clean sheets to conceding 2/3/4 a game same we score goals then nothing for 3 games, it just drove me mad in the end

Dear Tottenham, I was born in 1983 and have been a life long Spurs fan. In many ways my life has mirrored the clubs, always been up there but never really winning anything when it truly mattered. My first son was born last year and I don’t want his life characterised the same way. So this is my breakup letter. I don’t want to be associated with the “Spursy” mentality we all know exists. He will not be a Tottenham fan. I will not follow any other EPL club because I won’t switch sides, but I will enjoy the league as a neutral from now on. Thank you and all the best.

The problem is we shouldn't be in that position in the first place. How can conte not take responsibility when he sets us up defensively and we can't defend?
Daniel Levy picks the players who come in. Conte is 100% spot on and so was Matt the caller.
Blaming Levy is just Spurs fans wanting to point the finger. You've spent loads of money on the likes of Richarlison, Bissouma, Porro, players that Conte wanted to sign. You have a high net spend over the last 5 years. Spurs' front 3 could be argued as the best front 3 in the league when in form and I'm an Arsenal fan saying that, yet Conte restricts them so much with his negative tactics every single game. In the past Levy has made huge mistakes, due to bad appointments mostly but it's simply not his fault that you can't defend a 2 goal lead against the worst side in the league or that you got knocked out of the FA Cup. That was on Conte and the players.
It doesn't help to get all those players and still have lloris dier Davies sanchez. Such players will always degrade any progress made
Spurs fan and I fully agree. On paper we honestly have had the best transfer windows in 2022 but since the start of this season Conte has played so defensive minded and shackled us and has also played players like Son who seem to be out of sorts rather than nurture them through the difficult periods in their season, perhaps by starting them on the bench and getting them to get their confidence back that way.
Yeah, Conte the serial winner is the problem. Not the club that ruin every manager that walks through the door.
@@NoName-pp5kr yes he is the problem, because this “serial winner” would have walked a long time ago with the way we are playing this season IF it wasn’t his tactics of sitting back for 45 minutes every match. Same thing happened with “serial winner” Jose. Neither are built to actually build a team without relatively open chequebooks or the team they are managing having disproportionate odds in their favour in the first place.

He didn't do much at united, now look at what ten haag is doing with a similar level squad. When he was at united everyone said he was finished, now it's we've ruined him
