Hi Nancy. Fall color is without a doubt my most favorite time of year. I just saw Lisa Kelly of Ice Road Truckers doing a live stream from her area in Wasilla AK. She had her camera trained on the roadside as she drove along and everything was vivid Yellow. I don't know what the deciduous leaves are, but there was no Red anywhere, just Yellow, but it was breath taking. She has 100% color going right now. The only other color is Green of the Evergreen trees. I used to go to the Marquette area every year to hunt the Ruffed Grouse 2 or 3 times and the sight along the road was just grand. At the cabin in the woods, if I was there at exactly the right time, when the wind blew the leaves would fall like snow. Quite a memory. thank you for showing the U.P. ben/ michigan
I appreciate the alternate view of the fiber yard. It gave a better perspective of the operation there. I have never driven down that road to get a better look.
Almost too much activity happening there the backhoe the train and the missing dog. That sudden burst of sunshine as the train started downhill was very nice Actually that new photo angle turned out pretty decent and gave A New Perspective to the layout of the area. Of course a special hello to the pink CC car that no doubt wondered where it was going on that spur. Trying to get caught up on a whole bunch of tapes and you may have been the last person to photograph a train on this siding at least related to Besse Forest Products. On 10\27 I did see some of their cars on a video taken on a SB CN train @ Ladysmith. That was a great closing picture of the log loader going across the tracks after the train cleared. Beautiful sunset to close the tape
Nice catch of the L'Anse Local as it was approaching and passing Herman, Michigan, and then passing the Fiber Yard in Bovine, Michigan as the train headed to L'Anse, Michigan, Nancy! You decided not to follow the train to L'Anse but stayed in the Bovine area. That decision allowed you to catch the train at Bovine after working at L'Anse. Derek and the other crew member must not have taken the train to Bovine because the train was moving too fast for anyone to get off the train safely. I enjoyed watching this video including the switching at the Fiber Yard. (Posted 7 September 2024 at 1543 CDT.)
I did in fact go to L'Anse but took video with my phone which can be seen on Yooperrails the FB group.THen I went back to Bovine. Derek and the trainee were on the last car and when the train stopped at the top of the hill they got off and walked over to the log cars. After they checked the log cars Nick shoved the train to couple the logs cars to the last car on the train, I had to trim alot of footage due to not being good enough to post!
Some great views Nancy great car hookup action great video thanks

28:35 That looks like something designed by a six-year-old boy whose main interests are trucks and dinosaurs.
Wow, a long video to savor.
