    Thank you. Helps me to study for MCAT. I have binders separating my notes organized by subjects, easy to reference and add new notes too. My number one learning system,number two is review with videos! Don't watch just one video on the ANS,watch several and compile with notes. Not everything is learned in lectures and textbooks . Picmonics are great for visual learners . Have fun with your notes, add diagrams and pictures.
    Best of luck MCAT victims and NCLEX students !

    Is it GABA and Acetylcholine or GABA and Glutamine needs to work in balance?

    • @PicmonicVideoNursing
      @PicmonicVideoNursing  3 года назад +1

      Hi Medhanit!
      To answer your question, in fact ALL neurotransmitters in the brain need to work in harmony for our heads to be effective. When talking about Huntington's, however, there are a few important axis to mention:
      1) the role of glutamate and gaba/acetylcholine. In this disease, excessive stimulation at the hands of glutamate leads to the loss of neurons responsible for producing GABA and Acetylcholine
      2) the loss of GABArgic neurons means that dopamine can run free! Excess dopaminergic stimulation is what gives us the wild, choreatic movements this disease gets its name from as well as some of the psychological symptoms ptx experience.
      Hope thats helpful!
