Happy to see u back on your Jaguar . Concerning the gear box covering . Are u building a small console that u will cover it with a fabric of sort or just a painted metal piece ? If u are covering it u may want to make it out of wood . U can then wrap it in leather or faux leather to the wooden frame .
Gary I am running 9-1 pistons, set mine at 10 deg BTDC, I am running on esso E5, it was pinking on a hard throttle, so knocked it back to 8 deg, runs OK

Not at the moment the plan is to make this cover a close as I can to the gearbox and use the original cover

Interesting, my cat is 8-1 AND I am set at 10 degrees, I also use Lead Substitute
