- I often get asked if or what protective circle I use during rituals or when speaking with the Spirits, and my usual reply is no, I don't use a circle. Today I speak about why and what types of circle constructs you can use for what purposes.

When I started practicing years ago, I learnt to do a protective circle calling on the elements for every single ritual and even though I am now practicing on a very different path than back then, I still kept doing this. Only for bigger rituals and spellwork though... It was great having a breakdown of this topic in this video, thank you for sharing!
Also, this topic reminds me I wanted to send you a question for Ask Uncle Lee...: I think that I've heard from S. Connolly a while ago (as far as I remember it was in one of her videos), that she doesn't really use a lot of protection magick in general, because the Daemons she works with are protecting her and her home constantly, so she doesn't really need to do anything else for that. I was wondering what your thoughts on this would be?

For me circles are filters. Too much imposters and parasitic entities if not use it. And i can feel and see them. Just you have less noise
Absolutely, filter out the lower by raising yourself to the higher.
I don't either I use a grounding mat.
I practice LBRP. full rotation / traditional method minus the pentagram. it clears me up ! what kind of grounding mats are there? where can I get one? could I in theory make one?

@@JB_7775there is no calling either. It’s a full rotation meditative practice, which energy cleanses.
Calling upon the angels isn’t necessary to cleanse your energy either, but it does increase efficiency of the ritual.
The pentagram is used for protection enhancing but it is not necessary unless you’re actually under pressure or feeling emotionally disturbed etc
You’ve got to understand that intent and mental energy focus by the individual being is the most important and more powerful than people give credit for.
Following directly what the golden dawn did isn’t necessary and won’t purely help evolve magick further, so I feel it’s unnecessary to do things by the book 100% of the time !
Sometimes it’s okay to do things your own way. 😄
This might be a good topic to do a show on. Agreed that we should adjust and adapt to suit our own needs, but obviously only after we know the ritual inside out so we know what to alter. And of course if you take the pentagrams out of the LBRP, it is then something different. It's literally in the name, you can't have a Lesser Banishing Ritual of the Pentagram without pentagrams. Much like Crowley altered it and called his version Star Ruby.

The question really becomes, is the LBRP a protective method? It is clearing the workign space, that doesn't mean it is protecting your space. Which is why they also added the Greater Rites and the Hexagram rites, but this is also to alter you own vibrational frequency, first working on the Elemental level and then on the Planetary, which becomes "protective" by raising you out of the lower frequencies. There is a lot to consider with just a single rite.

Where do I begain please, and do I really clean myself like shower or wash hands before I pray to Satan? People dont help much ugh. Look I love evil things always have and dont think sin is bad and I believe god wanted puppets anway I rather be a open sinner then a false saint. Begin by reading and learning as much as you can, and do the foundational work, i.e. mediation, focus and concentration, trance work, protection and cleansing, etc. Some people will do a cleansing before speaking with the spirits, that coudl be a spiritual bath or just running water over your wrists. Some people don't. Its dependant on your own tradition and what you have been taught.
