Had a leak in bathroom upstairs and had to get a new tub and put down new flooring! So now repairing the ceiling and corners touching a cabinet in the kitchen and started from scratch with mud but probably need to do this around corners.

Thank you. This would be such an easy fix if we didn't live in California where ugly texture is applied to every wall:( Wish me luck getting the new texture to match.

This is extremely helpful. Is it the same doing bull nose with texture? Can you please do a vid on that? I have 3 pibbles that have tail whacked the crap out of my bullnose corner downstairs in my family room.

Please explain again.............I use the hot mud, twenty minute work time. Then all purpose as the last application - would that be all purpose that I add a little water to the mix. I see Plus 3 in a small container. Is that all purpose just lighter than the green container. thanks.

Don’t use the green bucket. Green has a lot of glue in it used for putting tapes on. Plus 3 is fine 👍🏻

I’ve got a short length cracked in the middle that I’ve dug out, I understand the idea that you feather it out away from the corner. What I don’t understand is how to feather out the top and bottom where the corner didn’t crack.

Pat Hillis depending on the total length of the bead I would personally coat it the whole length. If that’s not possible just feather out all sides of the area. Kind of hard to explain in the comments. If you’re on Instagram hit me up on there and I can send you videos to refer to.

Staples?? Couple of drywall screws where the mud popped out would of been a much stronger fix. And using regular mud instead of some weak ass lightweight mud is better if you don’t gob it on.

Johnny Bravado yes staples. These are vinyl beads.

some screws all the way up and down and fill in the holes some sanding and retouch of paint not doing all that too much work for someone who wont want to pay much ...

@@meanbean98 this is a vinyl corner bead. If you put screws in it it will flare out causing you to add more and more screws. Staples are used to install these types of beads therefore used to fix them as well.
