I think it's because it's such a beast-mode fragrance that really projects and has a beautiful sillage - one time I got a compliment the night AFTER I had showered it off the previous day, haha! Now, that is power! I've also gotten compliments on Nishane Hundred Silent Ways, Dries Van Noten Soie Malaquais and Xerjoff Tony Iommi Monkey Special from people who hugged me while I was wearing them and told me I smelled so good, but with Erba Pura people from across the room compliment me. LOL. It's my number-one compliment getter. 🥰
You are right about rose fragrances: every time I wear Delina or Atomic Rose by Initio I get compliments from men….but actually my man’s favorite fragrance on me isn’t a rose fragrance….but Apollonia by Xerjoff! He goes crazy for that smell and I wasn’t expecting that since I found it alluring , chic, sofisticate….but not actually sexy! Maybe I have a classy man!
I have had soooo many compliments from men when wearing Allure Sensuelle by Chanel. That perfume is SLEPT on. Highly recommend, it’s delicious. Amber-y, vanillic, balsamic melon. Men have come up to me and said how much they like it, and a couple have asked so they can gift it to their wife. Definitely want to try gris charnel… it sounds beautiful and you describe it so well!
Its very sweet, mind you- but Happy Dust by Narcotica- a vanilla (w coconut, green tea, atc.. tiny bit of mango) ... compliments EVERY time I wear it. I dont have ANY other frags that elicit compliments EVERY time- men and women, children and adults! Was VERY light for first month, but performs great now (not an in your face type but CLEARLY people smell it)!
Champs Élysées by Guerlain - an oldie …wears well on the skin and transforms to something soft and delicious. Another oldie is the original Samsara hmmm delicious! In my view the Guerlain scents are in a class of their own. Really superior. However, I’m excited to try some of the others you speak of Monika when I go to Europe later in the year!

I don’t really go near men much but I got a sample of the bdk fragrance and the prada paradox I got a lot of compliments. I also get a lot of compliments with peony and blush sure from Jo Malone.
The scent is not mentioned in the video, but every time I wear „Roses Greedy“ by Mancera, I get so many compliments, wow!❤ Woman compliments me with this one, but men love it even more. They also wanted to buy this scent for their girlfriends or wifes 😊
I was really curious about the hype with Delina and flankers, so blind bought the set of 3. They're all lovely and I'll keep wearing them, but I think way overrated and overpriced. They all basically smell like a clean rose soap, more or less :) None can go wrong with the Chanel eau fresh. it's such a light and pleasant one. Haven't loved many Chanels, but this one I do. It's so funny, if someone is wearing a scent you love. I used to love Bvlgari Omnia, but someone I wasn't that fond of turned out to wear it, and now I just can't haha.
I tried a sample of ysl libre Le parfum, and while I loved its opening notes, it disappeared from my skin well before the libre intense, which I own, and my husband likes it. I also have a decant of Gris charnel and I think it’s lovely.
My husband loves mancera black vanilla, also have received compliments from men for jean paul gaultier la belle intense. But the angel nova, i love, love i wear it almost everyday!
I agree with your husband re Gris Charnel! But was sad that it did not last as long as I would have liked. Say Delina, that lasts ages on me. Still, I will always love GC.
Gris Charnel lasts so long on me! Then again i am a bit heavy handed with my sprays so there’s that 😂 I go in with 7-8 sprays and it lasts the whole day on me!

Delina always gets me compliments and men asking what it is so that they can buy it for their wives or girlfriends! One guy on an escalator the other day said "You smelled like an absolute 10!" hahahaha My brother in law complimented me on Chanel Chance EDP the other day and he said the whole house smelled really nice! I haven't tried the EDT Also my ex also liked when I mixed Gris Charnel and Rouge Smoking but his all time favourite was delina

In every parfume the parfmerists put alcohol. Cant they put oil instead alcohol. And because of the alcohol the parfum cant resist in the skin more than 4 hours.

Layer Gris Charnel with the extrait version, and it will last! I just have a small sample of the extrait.
