@DK after dark, I did look at the Oki, but I didn't like that the rip was not included with the machine and I liked the versatility of the Uninet. The white on the Uninet is also better than the oki which helps with the marrying and application process. I still think Oki makes a nice version, but for me Uninet was the clear choice.
Would like to know if this will allow waterslide Laser Jet paper, to print graphics like the ghost White Toner is doing now, but with less opaque white, which is why I would need one of these if it can print the clear Waterslide paper? Thanks!
What do the prints feel like on shirts? is it paper like or closer to screen printing? I am hitting that point where I can only do so much with vinyl and heat transfer paper is horrible and I refuse to sell that to my customers. so I'm debating on sublimation or white toner i am mainly a t shirt and hat business and the uninet really caught my eye I just wanted to know the feel of it on a shirt
I don't mind the feel and my customers don't mind either. I don't do big images, mainly logos and text. It's great for those things vinyl can't do and much quicker.
@@ttms thanks for the quick reply I really appreciate that. I do a mix of sizes generally 11x11 or 10x10 on little league or high school team shirts . For my own brand I'm working on I want to do comic strip style graphics and text so feel it be right up my alley.

Hey bud I am looking at getting the i600 for apparel. I am wondering if I should go with that or a latex printer for my shirts which will also will allow me to do decals and other stuff. In other words latex printer or I color for apparel.
If your focus is going to be shirts, the 600 is a great option. If you are wanting to do more stickers, I'd go with the latex. The icolor does have sticker media you can run, but it's a lot more expensive than the media for Latex. I'd pick a focus and get the machine that's best for that focus.
I want to if you are having this same issue with your printer. I have been printing images and there is excessive ink after printing. It seems as if the image smears. Would you know how to fix that issue?
Sounds like there is extra toner that has spilled in the machine. Your machine should have come with a wipe that you can use to clean up spills. You can also vacuum up toner or trying running plain white paper through to try and clean up left over toner.
Did you consider the OKI brand before buying Uninet? It seems a lot of people selling Oki and getting Uninet. Is it because Uninet is better? or just because the people are not getting good results with the a+b sheet print in the Oki? I myself had a ghost white system and did not like it, I end selling it. Now I'm doing DTG printing with our build DTG printers and selling them. For mugs, signs, and other stuff definitely thinking to get a white toner if I need, most I do is sell DTG machines and custom t-shirts for my customer base.
I did look at the Oki, but I didn't like that the rip was not included with the machine and I liked the versatility of the Uninet. The white on the Uninet is also better than the oki which helps with the marrying and application process. I still think Oki makes a nice version, but for me Uninet was the clear choice. I'll probably get a DTG some time in the future when I have enough volume to keep it running properly.
The 800 is a similar configuration to the 600. You can get a simulated black, but you can't print using the included black toner if you're using white. I always used 100 on cmyk and it look good when printed.
You are a funny guy😂😂 great video always a pleasure watching you guys at the shop. I agree with you on buying the 600 to do bigger sizes. Some people buying the 550 will most likely upgrade later on. Waste of money in my opinion. Just buy what’s best don’t limit yourself
Thanks 😃. I saws my brother waste a bunch of money on equipment by buying to small or not supporting his immediate future needs. I try to learn from not only my own mistakes, but others too.

I'd be interested in a video that shows your htv, if you still do it, and what you are using that makes it so expensive...it seems like the white tonor method is expensive and a tad convoluted with the 2 steps involved, plus the tricky peeling method.
I haven't used it in a while, but I use it when it's a good use case. I'll make sure I record it the next time I do. Printed HTV has multiple steps too. Print/cut/weed/transfer tape. Please you have to load the media on the printer. With the Uninet you can print way faster than the HP Latex and you marry and apply. So technically it's less steps to do white toner. I'll make a video going over it in more detail.
Hi, enjoyed the video... but man, you need some coffee !! Lol Anyway, you mentioned you charge $10 per sheet for the example you showed. My question is what size sheet did you use? What would you recommend for full color sheets of : 8.25 x 11.5 .... 8.25 x 17 .... 8.25 x 14 ? And also, if they are all LFC small logos but you use the entire page? I hope that made sense. I'm just trying to figure out how to price out jobs. Some are full color 10x10 which takes two sheets, some orders are for small front logo, etc... BTW- I have the iColor 550. Thanks for your time and advice!

Love your videos, just subscribed! Question, I'm on the fence about the 550 and the 600. Do you know how the SmartCUT software works if I wanted to print larger images?
Thanks! Smartcut will analyze the image to see where it can split it so you can layer it using multiple sheets. It's pretty cool tech, you could also do it manually, but it's definitely more work.
