Im attempting to automate my custom trading card process. The main issue is having anything other than black not reveal the holo pattern underneath, necessitating a white base layer to print over (which i was previously hand-painting behind transparency film). Will this printer be able to handle individual 2.5x3.5inch cards and print the white base coat plus the colored art in one print directly onto the cut cards? Or would i need to print to transfer paper and then transfer to cards manually after printing? No previous experience with anything but laser/inkjet.
With this printer you can print the white layer and then the rest on top. Keep in mind that white takes the space of the black toner. So to make black, the printer mixes all the inks together.
@@NekoPrintsThanks for the reply. Does the quality of the mixed black vary much from a true black toner? Virtually all the black would be relegated to printing text, along with some basic character outlines/shadows.
@@NekoPrints One more thing, I wasn't clear on whether printing over the white base layer required another passthrough in the printer or if it could do the base and overlay in one job? I know white ink lasers require a second passthrough, which worries me since things have to be lined up pretty accurately. A second passthrough will always be a little off I would imagine. If it is a second passthrough, should I worry about this considering my use case? Thanks so much for your time, so close to purchasing!
@@cryptoclyps5049 The Uninet iColor actually does it all in one pass! And you can even do over and under print (white under or over the colors). All you have to do is swap the placing of the toner cartridge from one spot to another to switch between over and under. But either way, to answer your question, its all in 1 pass so you'll never have alignment issues. Also, remember you can use my code to get a break on it :)
Thank you for all the videos, you have really help me out with all these information. Any information you can give with maintenance I purchased a used one when it comes to the rollers and stuff like that if you have any info.
Not a dumb question at all! Yes they totally can! If you wanna try out the magnetized media, or magnets, you can use my code NEKOPRINTS5OFF and get em here www.icolorprint.com/store/products?search=magnetized&rs=NP
How does the color transfer paper work? And why would you buy color print and paper is that so you don’t use no toner or what’s the purpose of buying color two step transfer
Hi there! Thanks so much of watching. You have the 2 step paper. You print on the A sheet using the white toner printer, and then heat press it into the B paper which is the adhesive. That allows you to put it on the shirt. This Playlist will show you everything you need to know ruclips.net/p/PLtK2GeP67d8OrO9OrgSwBqnW85tCjDaXZ&si=l9-mcNGcmARgfcnY
It can! You can choose to put it in the bypass or the main tray. For thicker media sheets like the magnet sheets, I tend to stick to the bypass tray however. I'll me a video on the settings!
Any idea how these hold up over time - maybe compared to a good inkjet/laser? Just want to understand if the cost of ownership is in my range for purchase. Basically, are repairs inevitable in the first 2 years / are there additional costs associated with the printer (beyond toner replacement) for the average user? That's probably asking a lot, but anything helps!
So I have had mine for about 2 years now with minimal maintenance/troubleshooting. But that was my fault because I put the paper in wrong by accident lol. That's my experience though. As for additional costs, it would really be the toner as well as any other media types you want to try out. The good thing is it has warranty so if anything does go wrong you can always contact Uninet. Any other questions feel free to let me know!
My prints on transparent a sheet is good, bit once I try use forever multitransfer shet colour don't stick to sheet. So many paper and toner has been destroyed and can't find solution.
I'm wondering if you've worked with the sublimation toner? How does it compare to a sublimation printer? The toners are pretty pricey. My su limation printer is an inkjet conversion, and I was wondering if it would be worth buying the sub toners. I really only want it for mugs, so they are dishwasher safe. Everything else the white toner printer will do for me. Does any of this even make sense? Lol
I haven't unfortunately. I just know the option is there and have heard of some use it on white toner groups on FB. I got a sub printer prior to the white toner, so I've just stuck with that for sublimation. But I suggest checking out white toner groups like this one facebook.com/groups/405788393651396 they're very helpful!
How are you finding the quality of the products over time? More curious about any hard objects you've done like mugs, glass, pens etc.. is the quality still good after a while?
Shirts last a good amount of time but they do wrinkle and eventually Crack. Hard surface paper is great. I use the aquaclear and I have mugs that have lasted multiple washes, months in end with no cracking, peeling, or fading. Remember you can use my code NEKOPRINTS5OFF for 5% off icolorprint.com 🙂
@@NekoPrints Awesome, thank you for the info and the code. Was considering the UV DTF and then came across this and trying to decide between the two. It feels like it's a toss up between convenience of not having to do maintenance often vs the convenience of not needing the extra step/work of heat pressing afterwards (I won't do many garments). I believe WTP costs a little more per printed page as well. So hard to decide!

Glad to help, I'm always trying to learn as well!
Please do a video for a smart cut software
Good idea, I'll add it to the list!🙏

good stuff man! I recently re started my 560 and highly considering upgrading to 800
I love my 560. But I seriously wish I had a bigger print area without having to cut the design into 2 😅

Can i use just black toner ink to print on glass jars??
That would depend on the paper that you're using and the printer. You can use sticker paper if you're using a regular inkjet printer

I use the magnetized media from Uninet and my Uninet iColor 560
@NekoPrints l have a luminaris, but l don't see any material like Uninet. I will keep looking. Thank you
Do you have any tips to print on heavy blend dark color hoodies - 50% cotton and 50% Poly?
Not that I know of. I've pressed on blends before like normal with no issue. What's going on?
Does the magnet sheet go on the bypass tray and what settings would you recommend to print😊
