As someone who had a best friend or at least a very intimate friend and lost them, what I miss the most is not having to only be, like, 10% of myself with someone. Was my best friend my one person for literally everything? No, but it was nice to have someone I could talk about most stuff with. There were things I had to do with other friends but being able to be open and vulnerable in general was precious, and I don't know how much this "activity friend" scheme would improve things

Gossip always sabotages my friendship. If there are the three of us, there is always that one person who trashes me and the other friend and her form their on clique. Consequently, I’ve given up on friendships.. I just want somebody that doesn’t gossip…do they exist..or am I wishing for the impossible. .

I am so happy you feel that way. I have been thinking about it for awhile.

I struggle with focusing on more than one or two people in my life at a time. What do you do in those cases when needs aren't being met but also don't have space for more people to meet those needs?
(Btw I love these videos - they're so helpful and informative!)

Ok first I am so glad you love the videos. I am working really hard and I am new at this so that is so wonderful. My biggest advice is put this on auto pilot so that you see people without having to think about it. Its so common to have hyperfocus on people. Especially new people since they are exciting.

What if we do have a best friend and we have that earth shattering fear that we're not good enough for them and that they are going to want to leave the friendship. What do we do?

So this is a high level answer but there is likely no evidence they will leave. And so check the evidence Also I had a confidence expert tell me a good tip I have not suggested to anyone yet. She said get really good at something that gives you confidence. And I find using your strengths helps. So you feel more confident. I ams sure they would reassure you!! Caroline
