I didn't buy Beyond Light as D2 was just getting worse and worse so this is awesome. Kinda sad MATTER is still the only thing that matters to bunghole. Even Forsaken was terrible, and the armor really proves that-- the warlock rare helm was the literally the exact same as the legendary one so Bungie didn't give AF about D2
I just love the way Caiatl grabs and smashes that psion... For a second i tought she will rip him in half

right?? really puts things into perspective when u listen to what she says as osiris and how she chooses her words carefully to steer us to where we are now.. it rly is awesome to see

Since Beyond Light, I've loved the focus on bringing our former adversaries on side. Variks and House Judgement for the Fallen, Caiatl and her new Cabal Empire with the Cabal. I'd love to see an eventual joint strike at the Hive with Guardians, Cabal, and Fallen.
I dont think we will with the other 2 factions.. the vex or hive.. just given as they are seen as completely set on complete domination of everything in there path.. vex would control the whole of space and time if they could.. and the hive are set on there own growth and worship the darkness so have no reason to join us
Hell. Im sure somehow the vex would get on our side. I mean, there is a collective that other collectives straight up despise. So it's not that far out there that there could be a collective that worships the light.

I mean if Zavala would die, who would believe that wasn't her plan? Full on wrath of guardians is absolutely not what she wanted
She said it well, it's her duty as a sovereign to look after the will of her people. That will, is survival, and there's no way that the Cabal will be able to hold back the other powers at play without the guardians' help.
This alliance is crucial to keeping her people alive. As such, a diplomatic incident is the most threatening thing to possibly happen.
Caiatl is destiny’s best written antagonist in this franchise, and her development is so seamlessly intertwined with the in-game activities.
We the player, killed any chance of her to build a war council, destroyed her champion, and changed her mind into an Vanguard armistice, which evolved to an alliance in Season of the Risen.

Now that crow is revealed to zavala I hope he becomes the hunter vanguard I think Cayde would accept that
CAYDE may like that but I will never forgive him
Thats the issue tho, the vanguard dare was never really put in place by anyone other than Cayde from what I know, hes the only person that stands by it and I sont believe any other vanguard agreed to it.

Crow is a whole new person without memories of his past life, and he shouldn't be held accountable for Uldren's actions.
I think it’s going to be Ana honestly, the idea that Crow has anything to do with the Hunter vanguard “since he killed Cayde” is so contradictory to everyone’s “Uldren died, Crow is somebody else” the characters in the lore all seem to want Ana to take the spot at least
Huh, I didn't think Ikora already knew who Crow really was. I was kinda uneasy at the thought of the hell she'd wreak after finding out Crow was Uldren because she didn't handle Cayde's death all too well
Tho judging by crow talk when ya stand around him she's not ready to smile and shake his hand either.
Gonna be interesting to hear straight from her next season.
She knew. It was heavily implied in one of the lore books after Zavala mentioned he thought he’d seen Uldren watching him. She knew and she let Zavala suffer rather than telling him the truth ... because she’s awful.
@@fulgerion except anyone who played Forsaken where Ikora was the one being angry and vengeful and Zavala was being more rational and measured; she knew he was quite literally losing sleep over this and didn’t give him information that could help.
@@fulgerion atrociously. The fact she hasn’t said anything in about a year is very telling; even if they can’t get Torres, Ikora should have had a reaction to ... well everything. She didn’t even react to the darkness appearing! Or losing Io (And Asher, she was fond of him).
@@fulgerion me too. I wrote Asher back in because screw you Bungie, it was dumb taking he and Sloane out. It sucks that so many of their issues with characters stem from the expense/availability of the actors who play them; Sagira is a prime example, our girl deserved a death in the limelight not web lore.
Thank you for making this. I’ve been too busy to play destiny myself so I’m glad I can watch all the story in one easy video!

I'm 90% sure that's not Osiris. He seemed pretty keen on hiding the Zavala's own assassination plot from him

What sucks is that Crow still has his mask on because the game decided to not show me the cutscene. I played the strike waited till the end and then went through talking to Crow and Zavala, but still wearing a mask.
Bungie needs to cut a deal with Netflix, HULU, or Amazon to make a series or movies. This would be amazing

All of the Season's storyline quests have come to an end, so this is pretty much it. I think the Conclave will be the focus of next season, or some time later.

Osiris's actions hit different when you know that they're Savathun. Just goes to show that she was trying her absolute best to keep humanity from gaining more allies, whether it's through the Cabal or the House of Light. Don't know how this hasn't been called out but then again they all pretty much know at this point.
She was asking for alot “especially when she told zalva to bow” 😂
This was really good. Zavala is great and I really like what they did with Crow
I haven't played this season, but I'm impressed with the story.

Everyone loves the storyline between Zavala and Empress Caitl but jesus christ the storyline between the now VALUS Saladin and Empress Caitl is SO MUCH more interesting. The amount of storytelling that's gone into building that. Holy crap.
Don't know if anybody is interested, but those skull looking flowers in the attempted assassination in the city are snapdragons. They and the digitalis are of the same family.
This is making me want to come back to d2

I’m honestly sad that for most of this, it’s easy to feel sad for the Cabal, and I think while it wouldn’t have made for good combat. 2 of Caiatl’s emissaries were good: Basilius the Golem, who wanted to give Caiatl a platoon of Exo-Cabal, and Val Ma’rag, who wanted to give his empire a victory after the entire people were demoralized after losing their planet. Commander Dracus was a Ghaul Devotee and Ixel was a deserter with her own ambitions. My favorite is definitely Val Ma’rag
So...... even though there's a canonical, in-game ceasefire, you could still find Cabal on earth and still need to fight them the same as always, because "they just won't take their leaders' word for it"?
The lore explanation for the Cabal you're still fighting is that they're rebels, no longer part of the Empire. So Caital doesn't care what you do with them.
@@philipbrackett443 I know THAT, but that's just an excuse to explain the reason they literally can't take away an entire race of enemies from the EDZ, although I REALLY wished I could any result of what I, as the guardian, have been fighting for all this time, like actually see an effect on the world I'm "protecting" =\
I guess unless they introduce another race where they took over Cabal territory after those left, if they're so hell bent on keeping those areas infested by enemies.... but that just sounds very unlikely.

I must say, this season was pretty good, I stopped playing the game after beyond light was released until now, I am catching up before season 15 comes out next week. The strike was surprisingly good, the scale of tank was impressive, overall a good season.
Damn at least Empress Caiatl does have honor. I respect her.

That psion could use a real bullet to kill Zavala's ghost but he didn't
Consider last time a ghost was shot it was a modified Thorn bullet it it's safe to say no they couldn't. Heck they had to risk there necks making a heist on the last city just to make the bullet seen here.
Only a weapon of sorrow can kill a Ghost.

So Uldren was given a second chance when a ghost found him and revived him I guess
I think its more complicated than that.. its sorta made out that the traveler made the ghosts and also made guardians.. so the traveller bestowed crow with light and then the ghost was able to revive him.. I think that's why we don't have any hate towards him now.. he is a new character in a way.. he is basically like the rest of the tower.. he's a guardian just like us.. its mad and kinda cool imo😅
Had we not interfered with the Cabal, how strong could they have become? Would they have been strong enough to fight the Darkness without the the Guardians of the Last City? I don’t think so, and that is why they would have attacked, holding the city at gun point in exchange for the Vanguard’s support. That being said, they definitely would have been strong enough to get their vengeance against the Hive… Still scratching our heads over why we stopped that one, eh?

It was Zavala's ghost. Zavala's ghost was shot with a device that blocked his light, like a trap. Same thing almost happened 1-2 weeks earlier when an attempt to assassinate Zavala failed by a rogue psion inside the city.

Idc what anyone says, my new vanguard is Drifter, Stranger, and Eris
To think that if the real Osiris were with us from the beginning, we wouldn't have had Season of the Chosen. We wouldn't have weakened Caiatl's forces by destroying those worthy of filling her War Council. Those Cabal that we killed - from the bosses to the minors - could have been our staunchest allies in the fight against the Hive. Sure, we may not have love for one another but our shared hatred of the most wretched creatures in the universe would have been enough for an alliance.
It's easy to see what Savathun wants the most. She wants to turn us against ourselves. She wants us to fight one another. She wants her enemies to destroy each other while she sends her minions to clean up the mess. If we let her, she'll do just that. A fist can't do anything here. A blade will only cut it's wielder. Only with understanding and love can we hope to beat the Savathun.

I feel like Saladins bloodlust towars exterminating the Cabal stems from something in his past, he is almost unnervingly unyielding when it comes to exterminating them, even when it opens us up to another enemy or assists another enemy like the Hive. He never really seems to think diplomatically but more unwaveringly violent and with sword and shield rather than open arms and words.
Is it also strange to me that Savathun first wanted to stop humanity from uniting with the other races, even though at the same time she does everything in a pattern to eventually have such an occurrence happen anyway? I still feel like in the end she'll become one of our allies as well but first she must prove, like the Cabal that she doesn't wish to make senseless bloodshed when faced with something far more dangerous on the horizon.
