I sold my toiletry 15,19 and 26. I dont use them. I like these better for organization and the old canvases are much thicker. Finally 🥰 You really did your homeworks, thanks for sharing! I have a t23 from ‘87 and I can’t stop being obsessed with the canvass and hardware parts. Just fantastic, my perfect idea of a luxury item. A tip: use the metal clean Iosso, it gives back the original shine, you will be speechless trust me!
I have the 23 and the 28 and love them both! I use the 23 as a catch all in my LV purse. (Tissues, gum, small makeup, mirrow, hand lotion etc). The 28 is used for travel in my luggage and on my vanity at home to store my makeup. Added a puff to them both and they are BEAUTIFUL! I conditioned them both. Awesome find and well preserved.

Great review on the history of the pieces! I have the Trousse Toilette in the 28cm size and I use it as my shower kit for when I go to the gym (or Dopp kit) and I find it so so useful! I also use it for short haul trips too! Great practical pieces. Also fun fact, LV does still sell a very, very similar version of the Trousse's and it's available in the mens section (comes in Macassar, Damier Graphite, etc., etc.)
The 18 is my ‘dream bag’ but it runs $299-499!! She’s so adores! You are very lucky to have it. I have the 23 & 28 and hope to have the lil gal one day. 🧡👝

My trousse 28 has a date code of 821 and an eclair zipper. Prior to 1980 there were no date codes. I did not realize these were custom order, makes them so much more special. I love my trousse!

Rest assured yours is 100% authentic. Your piece is just older than 1980-81 prior to datecode being added. And that eclair zipper is a perfect vintage give away! 😊
I have actually! But the canvas being so old and everything is still in working condition I didn’t wanna risk any hairline cracks or splits with new stitching.

M. Taylor omg, I have no idea if it its before 1983 I checked all over and followed your video to find the date code & no date code. I took it to LV and the manager said that its pre90’s & that they don’t have date codes, I also tried Pro Authenticators & they said its Authentic, but I was just concerned cause if the no code. Also my zipper pull has become like silver is that normal?

emely guevara if it predates 1983 then it will not have a date code. Have you look on the inside of interior pocket on the back of the flap?
