I will respectfully disagree on boat shoes because it is a matter of proportions, as you mentioned on watches (for which I agree, and would extend to anything above 39mm, but that's just me). I have white, grey and any other type of sneakers, and prefer boat shoes as a summer option when going for something better than them. I can't stand the sight of Driving Mocs or Espadrilles (personal opinion) and loafers, while a lot more stylish, don't work that well with shorts. Additionally, and this is the matter of proportions, I have really wide feet, and when stepping "sock-less" into loafers (tassel, penny, I've tried them all), they gapingly open up at the ankles, because my feet are a lot wider than the insole. And if one wants, one can find pretty cool boat shoes in a variety of colors and leathers (blue suede with white laces from Hilfiger spring to mind), I agree that brown are bland. Now on pleats, while I understand the sentiment about a shorter man wearing them, they are a necessary evil for guys who have large hips and legs, combined with a narrow waist. I've been skiing for longer than I can remember, and my body is such a shape. Flat front pants are really difficult to find off the rack, and even with adjustments the result is not what one would describe as "perfect fit". The chinos and khakis I shop for have to be purchased large enough to accommodate my legs and then narrowed at the waistband, and risk the pockets poking out like Dumbo's ears. So, while I don't have pleated pants, I don't think they have no place in a man's wardrobe if that's the only alternative.

I believe you got the boat shoes completely wrong. Sperry’s are mainly a southern trend, especially here in Florida. They fit best with brands like Vineyard Vines. Usually preppy teens in school wear them. All ethnicities in my high school wear them, and I don’t believe they will die anytime soon.

Nothing. I wear them as well. I've got blue suede Boat shoes that I match with a blue top. Besides being functional and primarily that's what important to me, they're also stylish. I wear my chucka boots way less since they're hard to get in and out of and don't feel that great on your sole. I've got Oxfords, that I wear much less as well. Honestly there is a time and place for any fashionable attire. Mix it up every now and then otherwise your style will look bland. BTW, I personally don't find plaid shirts fashionable. A lot of the girls I know feel the same way.
If you have a small gut, a slim fit, hugs it and that's all you see. Most guys unless they have a 30-32 waist, can't wear a slim fit, because their gut is wider than their chest. Not everyone has the v torso, most people I know don't have it. not everyone can afford a tailored shirt.
This is probably one of the first videos of Aaron's that I disagree with. The pleats do have there time and place (Raphael) - for people who prefer extra room or perhaps have big thighs - so you would have to specify that skinny people should not year pleats. I also disagree on the boat shoes! I personally think they are slightly more sophisticated than fashion sneakers, but then again this is my opinion and to each his own.

I've never heard of "naww" boat shoes, and to each his own in that regard. I like both boat shoes and loafers. And while I personally don't need pleats, they can be beneficial to others, so you can't generalize saying that they are "grandpa's jeans".
Personally, I find loafers - especially those with tassels or fringes on them - unbearably ugly. Boat shoes - whilst bland as hell - often beat those. Loafers that are plain and streamlined on the other hand can look good.

Samuel Mracka it's a regional thing and boat shoes have special treads that reduce slippage. I wear boat shoes when I'm on my boat or go out to our favorite restaurant in swansboro NC. I live in a coastal town so it makes sense.

Sperry’s are mainly a southern trend, especially here in Florida. They fit best with brands like Vineyard Vines. Usually preppy teens in school wear them. All ethnicities in my high school wear them, and I don’t believe they will die anytime soon.

Hey, boat shoes are amazing. They are classic, just like the Timberland and other footwears, and they never get old. Boat shoes are stylish and comfortable especially in summer. Nothing. I wear them as well. I've got blue suede Boat shoes that I match with a blue top. Besides being functional and primarily that's what important to me, they're also stylish. I wear my chucka boots way less since they're hard to get in and out of and don't feel that great on your sole. I've got Oxfords, that I wear much less as well. Honestly there is a time and place for any fashionable attire. Mix it up every now and then otherwise your style will look bland. BTW, I personally don't find plaid shirts fashionable. A lot of the girls I know feel the same way.

This is probably one of the first videos of Aaron's that I disagree with. The pleats do have there time and place (Raphael) - for people who prefer extra room or perhaps have big thighs - so you would have to specify that skinny people should not year pleats. I also disagree on the boat shoes! I personally think they are slightly more sophisticated than fashion sneakers, but then again this is my opinion and to each his own.

I've never heard of "naww" boat shoes, and to each his own in that regard. I like both boat shoes and loafers. And while I personally don't need pleats, they can be beneficial to others, so you can't generalize saying that they are "grandpa's jeans".
Personally, I find loafers - especially those with tassels or fringes on them - unbearably ugly. Boat shoes - whilst bland as hell - often beat those. Loafers that are plain and streamlined on the other hand can look good.
