Yep same. I started in 95' and it was never hey that dude rides mongo. It was a given seeing my favorite skaters like Koston, Stevie, Kalis, etc. Everyone did it as the norm. I still do when I do a line switch it's the way I've been doing it since I started to learn switch when I was starting out. I noticed most the heavy hitters from Brazil still wear the baggy clothes and push "switch mongo". Anyway this is still mind blowing what Tiago did on this part

It is like 90s but skating very huge spots. Like the nollie 180 fs crooks fakie flip out, some 90s skaters did that kind of tricks but not as perfect and not on picnic tables. The point is that he is very tech and has the most powerfull pop on the skate history. It is not just doing big ollies, he skates higher bars, ledges than the other skateboarders

I have the shirt he's wearing at 4:28. It's Josh Kalis doing a front nosebluntslide at LOVE Park in Philly, 2004. I bought it at Kerry Getz' skate shop Nocturnal in the same city. It's cool cause Tiago is a year younger than me, and it wouldn't surprise me if he ever got to see LOVE before it got completely decimated. Stevie was doing an interview about how a lot of his favorite old spots aren't there anymore, and it messes with him. LOVE was the freshest breath of air for East Coast skating in all the eras. It's cool to see Tiago give ode. I know it's a DC shirt and all but, heck, I haven't worn a pair of DC's since I was 13, but I got that shirt. Didn't know or follow Kalis too much, but, I know that he and a few other locals, put LOVE on the map, and LOVE put them on the map, and, it's just a dream for skateboarding really. Edmund Bacon, the actor Kevin Bacon's father, really loved skateboarders. He designed LOVE, and he loved that skaters loved LOVE. He didn't understand why city counsel gave the dream guff.
