Hanukkah includes a commemoration of the battle for Jerusalem by the Maccabees as well as the restoration of the Second Temple. You said there weren't any. I don't practice Judaism but every book I've read about Hanukkah includes this story as part of the celebrations.
Actually the Talmud, which is the official Jewish version, doesn’t even mention the war victory as part of the celebration, and secondly, the war was not over ownership of Jerusalem but as we all say in our prayers, because the Greeks tried to force up to violate our religion.
