Thanks for the great video man, i have been looking at these for a while now and just could not get past the price tag. One of my friends bought it for me and now i am just waiting to get it. Very informative, made a subscriber out of me.
its not about riding enough, its about getting what you need. Someone like you who lives in a place where it rains all the time, yes...having waterproof feature is essential. I personally spray my backpack with scotch water guard and have never had a problem with wet contents. I dont ride in rain by choice. I put 25 k miles on my 750 in about 10 months, so riding in rain by choice doesnt imply that you ride more. You just dont care if you get wet...I do.
I've worn a couple of different backpacks through rain, neither is advertised as waterproof or water resistant, but nothing inside ever got wet. I just got the No Drag but haven't put it through any rain. But I think it'll be very good in rain because the outer shell is is vulcanized rubber and the main zip is held between the back of the bag and your back, so there aren't any real openings on the outside of the bag for water to creep in.
My picky points after owning this backpack are. 1. When riding leaned over the tank, the top of the backpack rubbed the back of my helmet, and grabbed a little when I tried to turn my head left or right. 2. Walking around with the helmet on the backpack sticks out A LOT, so much that you have to be very concious not to turn and hit your helmet on objects. I didnt think the pack was comfortable either. I switched to an ogio flux and like it a lot more than this expensive one.
Hi Brian, another great video. From what I gather the Ogio No Drag seems like a much better backpack than the Alpinestars Charger, what do you think? Is the Ogio the best rider specific backpack at least in your own opinion? Also is the Ogio waterproof? You mention in the video for the Alpinestars backpack that you didn't have a huge amount of faith in it's water resistant qualities. Thanks
sold ! definitely ! I too was looking at the price, but if this lasts, say, 5 years, then you're only looking at £20 a year ... I can spend that in 5 mins and not have anything of value to show for it !
@yakitoriPB im not trying to convince anyone to do anything. as a matter of fact, i'm shopping for one. anyway, in your situation, i'd recommend getting a tail bag along with the backpack.
buying question.. Play with this idea: would you be able to fit pair of jeans, a pair of t-shirts, small skate shoes, and some underwear? Going away just over the weekend and it would be nice to use a no drag bag for it.. possible sizewise or what do you guys think?
Which pack is that. I dont see any "No drag" packs that have the helmet carrier.??? I want to buy this pack but have no idea which it is..... mach 5? 3?
My point was that this backpack is too pricey. What is the need for a backpack that costs 150 bucks when it doesnt hold much. (because of the shape?, looks cool? etc) I used the backpack and my personal opinion is that it isnt worth the pricetag. And 150 for this backpack and then a tailbag for another 100 bucks is not fiscally smart. I can fit all my stuff in my other backpacks. The dome shape of this one makes the main compartment small. By all means, buy one...then tell me what you think
@ysaroya1 Just got this bag and used it with my Shift Vertex Jacket. It fit over the hump alright, and will work fine but def better and designed for a flat back . . . . 270 KMH this morn and it didnt bounce or drag or notice the bag at all. Awesome backpack! And thanks to Brian for the review on it
I have a Teknic jacket with the hump-back can you wear the the back pack with that jacket If not is there another backpack sutible to wear with that kund of hjacket?
@droche9 Thanks alot for the reponde, I think I will buy this backpak becuse I recently need to carry alot of stuff, In the worst case ill change the jacket :) thanks again!
what do you think about the no drag mach 5 in terms of size it seems as if it would be smaller how is that (i dont have much to carry besides binders and a hydration system)
Let me guess....you have one, so you feel the need to convince us that its the BEST there ever is. Thats what most people do. And I was carrying a pair of shoes, 2 pants, 2 tshirts (all rolled tight. My clear helmet visor, ipod, garage door opener, 2 underwear, socks, sleeping shorts, cell phone charger. The normal stuff I would pack in a backpack if I ride to my families hometown and sleep at a friends. It bulges out with those few items in it.
The Ogio No Drag is a home run. Ogio makes the best luggage.
It should, depends upon the boots as some are larger than others
You get More and more excited after each review!

@ysaroya1 You can wear a back pack with a jacket that offers the race hump. It will feel a little different, not a huge deal.
@Lazerecho I do not think a helmet would fit inside the backpack
@setasai Ogio bags are easy to wear, well balanced. If you ride and need a bag hard to go wrong with an Ogio No Drag IMO
Fantastic video reviews! Very informative and helpful.
Any chance you can do a video of the LESS DRAG?

great reviews! how about one for the OGIO Less Drag pack?
This review helped a lot, thanks. Will it fit a pair of race boots?
Ogio have the best bags. I already have 4 different bags from them.
@BallsOnUrChin1 Godamn bro...Relax! The pack fits the same with or without leathers, you just gotta adjust the straps a little.

I ride my bike to school (high school) and I wanted this pack. Is there room for a couple books without a laptop
Where can I find it on the site? It's not in the luggage area.

Hey Brian,
How would this backpack fit against a leather jacket with a speed/sport hump?
Would it be a problem/uncomfortable?
Thanks.
I have a Teknic jacket with the hump-back
can you wear the the back pack with that jacket
If not is there another backpack sutible to wear with that kund of hjacket?
Will this fit 2 shoes, a dell xt tablet with charger and a helmet shield?
would a textile riding jacket be able to fold up and fit in there? I've got a shift avenger if it matters.
@yakitoriPB what were u carrying in it? an elephant?
@droche9
