- I love these two so much. Their sibling relationship is one of my main reasons for watching DEXTER. I think that part of what makes their relationship so appealing to me is that I have a brother myself so I can really identify with the strong bond they have :) Dexter and Debra are an example of how you should always be able to count on your family, blood-related or not.

Also lovveeeeee these two together! :) The finale was hard to watch. Still can't get over it months later!

@Zedul I always felt especially from season 5 that this so called relationship has become onesided and very BORING. All we see Deb tries so hard to get closer to Dex, but he never really says anything. I haven't heard a real (information or emotion packed) conversation between them a long time. That is the main reason why this relationship must be brought to the next level. To the level of intimacy. They are more than siblings. This is a COMPLEX relationship that involves all kinds of emotions.
@Zedul They already -are- an example of family, albeit not a perfect one. You can't always have a happy relationship with your sibling (believe me, I know). Deb and Dexter aren't perfect so of course they get into some fights once in a while and do stupid things, but that doesn't change the fact that they'll always be there for each other. And that's what I find so beautiful.
Of course When did he sabotage her relationship?
Seeing all these comments, especially from Zedul and Afterthebattle, I'm interested to see what you guys think of the twist in the most recent season - where *SPOILER* Deb tells Dex she's in love with him.
@Zedul It doesn't sound very promising :( I'll hope for the best, but no matter what happens I'll keep vidding them!

it's on season 2, ep. 12(i think.) Lila tries to kill Dexter, Astor and Cody and Dexter saves them, then escapes. Then Deb runs to him and takes him out of the building.
Could anybody pls tell me what episode it is @45s (when Deb gets Dex out of the fire place$
@Zedul I'm not trying to idealize their relationship - I love it just as it is. Maybe we just interpret the show differently because I certainly don't find their relationship "wrong" or "twisted" in any way. A bit co-dependent perhaps, but certainly not "wrong". I haven't watched season 6, though, so I can't discuss that part of their story with you.

My half brother is the complete opposite of this. (Insert Deb language here eh hem) We have and never ever will get along or be in each other's lives for personal hurtful reasons, but it's nice that this closeness does actually exist out there between brothers & sisters fully related or not.

Well, I never wanted their story to be a romance so I wished they had let that storyline go.
