2018 NPHS Colors of Pride Celebration: Stay Woke 2-22-18

The theme of this year's NPHS Black History Month assembly was Stay Woke. Members of the African American Awareness Club (AAAC) worked for weeks preparing for the in-school assembly and the evening community presentation. Students shared their perspective on current social topics, covering a broad scope of topics including some that are of national discussion. The purpose was to provide a perspective about black culture that some may not have had an opportunity to hear before and to set the tone for discussing uncomfortable and controversial topics.
