Thank you for this! I was scared when I saw my Kappa and Lambda were elevated. Kappa is higher than the Lambda like you explained. But ratio is within range at 1.60… Thank you for this. Now I’m not scared! Just another confirmation of the inflammation going on in my body.

I had some recent blood work done
    Via my allergist.
Some of the results were abnormal...
    My free kappa was 17.11
    Normal range is 3.30-19.40
    My free kappa/lambda is 1.54
    Normal range is 0.26-1.65
    My free lambda is 17.62
    Normal range is 5.71-26.30
    Additionally: other abnormal results:
My Abs CD3+ (blood) is 0.657
    Normal range is 0.856-2.669
    My Abs CD4+ CD4 (blood) is 0.413
    Normal range is 0.491- 1.734
    Abs lymphocytes is 0.980
    Normal range is 1.000-3.200
My Abs lymphocytes flow (blood) is 1.052
    Normal range is 1.500-2.900
    My IgA is 4.38
    Normal range is 0.66-4.33
I have a history of weird symptoms. I've also had sustained elevated IgA levels for years now. Doctors are unable explain this.

My recent few labs show the last scenario Kappa rising, lambda dropping, and K/L ratio rising but I don't know if it's enough to be more than still just MGUS yet. We have been watching it for 11 years.

Hello.. how the total light chains relate to the free light chains tests in detecting MM?
And How far can this ratio be to say it is MM?

My body is literally attacking itself. I've been diagnosed with MCAS. Im in pain almost everyday. Constant nausea, fatigue, muscles weakness and tenderness, joint pains, neuropathic pains and chest pain. Doctors still dont have a clue whats wrong with me. Hopefully I get some kind of relief soon.

My body started attacking itself also after I got C in April 2021. It’s now Feb 2024 and I’m still suffering! I also think I have MCAS. All the symptoms. Histamine intolerance has gotten a little better as I’m healing my gut. I know I have had a leaky gut even before getting C but it got way worse plus added symptoms. I just got back my Kappa/Lambda test. They are both high but ratio is within normal range. I already know I have a lot of inflammation going on in my body. No Dr has helped me either, so I know your plight! 😫🤯
It’s so infuriating. And all they want to do is put you on pills… 😒 After doing much research over the past 3 years, I finally figured out on my own what the root cause is to all this inflammation and debilitating symptoms. My oral health. I have had 3 root canals in my mouth for 15+ years. They are causing systemic inflammation and disease. I am now working with a Biological Dentist who is removing them. One down, two to go. Great documentary to watch is Root Cause.
Please if you have any root canals or Amalgam fillings watch this film! They can lead to all sorts of disease and cancers.

Unfortunately myeloma is a very tricky disease. That's why with HealthTree University we're trying to educate patients and caregivers so that they have as much information possible so that they can be more informed on treatment decisions when talking with their doctor.

    Risk to B cell lymphoma?

    • @AussieCat111
      @AussieCat111 6 месяцев назад +2

It depends on other factors as well as just the light chains. I have IgM MGUS and based on other information from biopsy, etc. my risk is to progress to lymphoma (if anything). But for other types like IgA, IgG MGUS the risk is more to progress to myeloma. Not a doctor, just a nervous patient who has done a ton of research.
