Thanks for the upload! Superb! I used to adore this programme as a kid and loved the intro. I can clearly remember recording the music onto an old recorder and playing it over and over again! Me and my sister also did an Interceptor puppet show for my mum and dad! LOL!!
thank u so much for uploading this, i didnt realise it was repeated and have waited 22 years to see it again! it was ace then and still really entertaining
There is no question, the Interceptor's 'Character,' whether devised by the actor or the production team, made the show! he looked the part and did some incredible stunt work in a heavy leather coat! "I LIKE IT!"
I don't know if I have said this before but to me it just becomes a 10 with all the advert skipping then missing the start again and going back. I think it should now be actually preserved in this new format. Merry Interceptor Christmas
Despite the passing of time. This show was made 29 years ago. This still looks as fresh today as it did the day it was broadcast. They've hardly dated at all!. The fashions such as hairstyles, clothing look surprisingly very contemporary, notably on presenter Anabel Croft. The helicopters still look very modern. The tractors, farm vehicles, land rovers, stone walls, village houses etc look the same then as they appear today. No major change in their aesthetics. The lack of the presence of mobile phones/smartphones which are so prevalent in today's world could be explained away by rules imposed by the show's makers forbidding their usage as this would aide the participants and defeat the point of the show. If we were in 1989 and were watching a show made some 30 years before (1959) it would somehow be a lot more 'dated' as so much would appear very different than the current time you would be viewing it in! This would be predating the 60s where so much societal and technological advances were achieved and occurred. The show would have been filmed in Black and White. Women's fashions were more conservative, bland, duller and samey. The men would have Brill Cream hair styles and the motor vehicles would look so quaint. (even the farm vehicles maybe). The only negative I would point out about this show is Anabel's rather annoying posh accent and slightly bimbo tone to it!
Hi, they used to about 2 years ago as I see that when you started to watch one of them it was done when the new Sky HD was out which was not that long ago but yes 2009 was when it was last on. Maybe in the future they might play it again. Regards Daniel
Annabelle Croft was a babe. That posh girl voice too. Bet she liked a bit of rough. I'm a bit of rough, unfortunately I'm a nobody and she's probably like 65 and minging now.
It amazes me how all of that heavy comm equipment they have to lug around--which, I guess, is part of the challenge--can now be comfortably replaced by a small bluetooth headset.
And then there is riding in the back of a vehicle without a seatbelt in the part of the vehicle not designed for passengers. Isn't that illegal? I wonder how many strings they had to pull in order to get permission to do all of that?
18:38 Did she steal someone's bikes? Also why doesn't anyone go on their back and stay like that he can't use physical force (which is odd). 27:18 "Oh what a rotter" WTH the farmer is busy he was kind enough to give him a lift to the quarry poor man
As I replied earlier to someone else, if you laid on your back for ages, you would waste time, and not meet with your partner before the challenge timed out, and therefore you would be guaranteed to lose.
@@zoespictureshow791 Okay but like I mean when you know he's chasing you, people just freaking run. I get they want to get to the meet up point so it's better to run rather than go on your back. I feel like there is a way to outsmart this but obviously being a show there must be inside rules being followed.
Thanks for the upload! Superb!

I was the one who campaigned to get this back on TV.. back on the old Challenge forum.. and they listened

Im a new age fan, i was born in 89 so dont remember it. but around about 2003 challenge repeated it and i loved it. been 9 years now...
Same born 88, became aware 03
8 years on from this comment and I'm watching it again lol. Time flies.
Annabel is still hot, the Interceptor is still scary and this programme is still great! Thanks for posting.

This is one well thought out game show in my opinion. Lots of action, alot better than any suspense film that I could've ever seen in my life. :)
Phew, I'd missed this episode now I'm ready for ep 2 on challenge monday 11pm. Many thanks!!!
6:45 What you waving for, love? You've just put bloody blindfolds on them...
It was absolutely painful watching her on the river spending about 5 mins chasing the slowest river craft in history , just jump in and swim to it
I wish a TV company would bring this great programme back. If they could bring back The Crystal Maze then why not Interceptor.
I never really understood why she said "Welcome to ANOTHER episod" if it was episode 1? Was it so it didnt matter what order whey were shown in?
35:13 "I'm coming up to give way sign"
XD!!!

Ryan Viner nah She’s still worth a rattle
Can't tell you how much I laughed at this comment hahaaha

i adore interceptor thanks for puttingit on you tube :)
1:27 Another? ANOTHER? This is the first episode! Must have been recorded in a different order.

This show was jokes back in the day....'take me down mikey!!!'😂😂😂
Note: this is actually Episode 6
iiiiiii like it!!
I LIKED IT!! (the video)
"I can see him ! He's hiding behind a boosh"
Brilliant
quite a good show, but reeks a lot of... what can we do now with the challenge anneka type format?, should be re made i for one would watch it
Good job.
It's being repeated again on September 14th at 6am! I presume they'll repeat the whole series (8 episodes :-( ) then.
remember the series (although nobody else seems to) and also it not being aired very long. wasnt it around 1990????
AHH like it !
I don't suppose you can unstretch it at all?
Interceptor ought to return.
it is now its been being shown on a saturday and sunday mornngs at 11am on challenge
I think it’s unfair to have her key on a motorised Water Combined Harvester 😮🤔😮
If it came back who would host it?
Terry Wogan
Can you upload the Norfolk episode??

46:05 - camera man stacked it
This program must have been a Health and Safety nightmare- riding in the back of a tipper??
Thank goodness there *was* no heavy handed health and Safety Executive in those days
and plus think how much it must of cost to do this show i bet it cost a bomb
Anyone come here from The Lion King Adventures Fanfiction by ThatPersonYouMightKnow?
Why did they not just lay on the floor with the back pack against the floor for the whole time eg on the bridge etc!
Because then they would waste time and not complete the challenge.
It is currently on at 2am on challenge tv (odd time i know)
I think this is episode 6 im quite confident
And then there is riding in the back of a vehicle without a seatbelt in the part of the vehicle not designed for passengers. Isn't that illegal? I wonder how many strings they had to pull in order to get permission to do all of that?
Take me down Mikey!

@@KanaTokisho Shame its not still going - you could have applied and put your theories into action!
@@zoespictureshow791 HAHAHA Heck no. I ain't social. I'm a freaking shy person and not a fan of camera's.
She said welcome again, but isnt this the first episode of the only season? I guess it could have been filmed out of order.
Keith Gunn Judging by the contestant’s names, this was episode 6 according to wiki.
Annoying that it was stretched ot 16:9 - originally shot and aired in 4:3 ... remember this from Channel 4...
@leerat challenge anneka??? i meant treasure hunt.... what a plonker i am :)
Did anybody else see the cameraman fall over at 46:05 ?
