Excellent video series on the history and importance of Thanksgiving, and recognizing the countless blessings from God - rare in today's decayed society.
The Good Book tells us to give thanks in all things, yet it seems so difficult to do so in the 21st century. Societies all over the world seem beset by negative issues, & every person seems more likely to complain than be grateful for anything. But it's always been that way. Every generation in every corner of the globe faces some sort of troubling problems. This will never change. We, as reasoning, thinking human beings, must find in our hearts & minds the will to look for the good in the world, & in our lives. Everyone has at least one thing to be thankful for - seeing the sun rise on another day. When we see that for the blessing that it is, the rest of the day is ours to make the best of that we can. It'll go much better if we approach it with a positive outlook, rather than a negative. Then, we'll discover even MORE to give thanks for. God's blessings, & Happy Thanksgiving to all!
I had many members of my family come over on the Mayflower& even signed the compact ….it was a horrible situation & many tribes were kind enough to show them how to survive …Thank you for telling the story
Praise you brother for honoring God with this special on thanksgiving day, during a dark time when many people need to know the truth. Praise God our father and his great love and mercy.
Excited to show my kids, very informative and well done! I just discovered and subscribed today and am looking forward to more videos! Thank you for helping a homeschooling mom 🙂
This is not balanced history when not including the American indigenous perspective, after all they were there and also the pilgrims were living in their territories and homes
@@cherriledbetter1120Native tribes killed more other native tribes than Europeans did. Native tribes also sided with different European powers against other native tribes. Christmas is about the Birth of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. It isnt about the trees, presents or anything else but it celebrates the day Jesus came into the World that’s what it truly is celebrated for.
We do have a full Special for Saint Patrick's Day - stay tuned during 2022 and we might post it! We don't have any plans to retell the Christmas story right now (we covered some of the content in The Gospels). As for Halloween, there's a lot of Christian history there that would be fun to cover. Perhaps someday in the future, stay tuned!

@@makayahmilani2232 Actually, you stated my original intention more concisely and are correct in needing to obtain the perspective from the native indigenous individuals themselves. But really, was your clarification worth the attack? I meant no harm and have always tried to respect the perspectives of others. I wish you peace and happiness.

This was so interesting. My husband is descended from Alice Southworth Bradford. Second wife to Governor William Bradford. This family is still serving the Lord. Many are pastors, missionaries, teachers and military men and women. We have a “goodly heritage.” May God bless.
We are truly blessed beyond words! So sad that America has abandoned the principles that this country was founded on. You forgot the part about how _"Thanksgiving"_ was originally celebrated in Canada some 40+ years before the first such celebration in tge USA. Settlers north of the border traded with settlers south of the border; and it was adopted by the Pilgrims in the US. Of course, that's very much an oversimplified summary of it, by that's about the gist of it.
Maybe the first English Christians but im a Florida girl and i went on a middle school field trip to Saint Augustine. The Spainards were Cheistians too and i think they settled Saint Augustine a few hundred years before the Pilgrims landed on Plymouth Rock. Yes first English but not the first Christians. Except Jamestown, Virginia is the actual 1st English colony, established in 1607. So the Pilgrims were off in their plan, but started a good thing.
