I sincerely think you can learn more from a video like this with a lot of errors...by taking steps to correct them ..we shouldn't override it
Before serving the medication you have to do second check to know you still have the right patient, and after serving the medication come back 30 minutes to check for the adverse effects of the medication.
Hi Emer, kindly confirm is the prescription considered incomplete if the duration is not indicated but the finished date is stated?
I am guessing this is a mock examination right?
Hi Emer please morphine sulfate is prescribed under once only medication and it was given by 12.20 and Co coda mol is prescribed under regular medication to be given at 14.00 are we supposed to give or code
very helpful video . thankyou for sharing
Thanks Emer..so enlightening
Hi emer! Kindly confirm, with new toc is the prescription considered incomplete if the indication of the drug and finish date is not stated in the MAR? Thanks!
hi axl i think i have explained it on my other video. if the indication is not written that is still a valid prescription, if you think about it you don't normally see an indication written in a prescription unless there is a special/specific instructions. good luck
@@EmerDiego thank you so much for the reply! ♥️
Hi Emer is it compulsory to read the details fully for all the charts?
hi emer, are we suppose to be wearing ppe before entering the room/before checking scene safety? thank you :)
Yes, the assessor will give you instructions prior to starting the station

Could you correct me if my understanding is wrong, I think the Paracetamol 1000 mg PRN PO should have been given as its different order from the IV Paracetamol?
Hi JLL, even if the route is different the medication is the same. Paracetamol’s max dose in a day for adults is 4g every 4-6 hours
@@EmerDiego Thanks for the feedback! Been watching all your videos for my Osce exam next month.
@@Janjoinfinite good luck
Have you passed? Which skills did you get? Mine will be in a feel days.
@@patriciaf.v.8889 yes I did. 😊 Had AIM and Fluid balance for skills.
Are we allowed to use ipad for bnf?
yup, use it if needed
This is a poor implementation video I v ever seen. You didn't explain the drugs well. You shouldn't assume patient knows her meds even if she has taken them before. You must state the indication and action of the drug and their side effects and retaliate she is okay to go ahead with the administration
Hi Eze! As you can see, you only have 15 minutes to do your implementation station, from checking patient identifiers, reading the chart, dispensing medications, explaining what medication they’re giving and documenting the chart.
This video was uploaded during the LEGACY 2014 OSCE.
In the marking criteria at that time, they only have to explain what the drugs are for, and it only depends on your assessor/patient if they want to ask what the side effects of the medication are, the action of the drug and whatever they want to ask.
I hope this helps, and Good luck with your OSCE 🙏🏻
Very poor I would not want to look at this for my OSCE.😡
