MANY historic old homes in the USA have been restored and are open to the public as museums. Probably some around where you live. Check with your local Historical Associations, OR go on-line.

To each his I own, but the fireplaces in homes from the period are my least favorite feature. They’re usually the kind you would order from a catalogue and the style almost never really matches the home. I know a lot of people love them though.
I like to imagine Christmas,birthdays, and other special occasions that this once beautiful place hosted!!Laughter,music and wonderful food!! I am very happy someone is going to restore this treasure!!

This this tiny town is where my family on my mothers side are from my grandfather had a county store in the area my uncle worked for c&o railroad all have been gone for long time there is so many memories of my mothers side in that area

It makes me so sad to see old, beautiful houses in this state of disrepair. So glad it’s being restored. I’d love to do something like that myself some day. The old, abandoned pianos break my heart. Those old computer monitors were a bit shocking.
I lived in a Plantation Home Grandma Moses house and I loved It, in the summer it was so cool inside with the French doors open watching the see through curtains blowing, I Absolutely loved it and I really do miss living there but I do go and visit the House but sadly to say it is setting there empty"!

There is a house 🏡 on Cannon Road and Pacific Coast Highway where Farrah Fawcett used to stay when she was dating a tennis 🎾 pro in Carlsbad, California.
Selma mansion rebirth is the website. They also have a FB page showing a ton of the restoration process. I come back to these videos and remember wishing it would be saved. Thankful that it was!
It's cool getting the resto it deserves as long as the new owners don't make it open concept. The way it was is the way it should be returned too especially those awesome bathrooms. The kitchen should be updated to a point but no so much that it totally throws the rest of the house off. 20's or 30's modern retro appliances would work nicely
Selma has been restored and a family is now living in it, they have a Face Book page that has pictures of the process, and have made a video of the before and after. The house now has n onix toilet stool, these folks are loaded so if I wer Y'all I wouldn't try to explore Selma now. Oh and the three large dogs might be a deturant as well. Sorry no Ghosts.

Weird...that one room floor , with the computers piled up , looks solid but all others are falling in.
Where ghosts of telemarketers lay down their monitors, in exchange for golden headsets.
So thankful this beauty didn't meet the dozer and become a CVS or something lame like that.
