A tear almost came out running down my cheek of sadness but then came out of Happiness to Hear that the Mansion was saved and restored! Thank God was saved by nice people!!! Thanks for uploading! And I'm praying... So more houses and Beautiful places like this. To be saved and Restored.
I love this mansion. I live 5 minuets away from it so watching the family who bought it bring it back to life has been incredible. The photos on the FB page don’t do it justice
This this tiny town is where my family on my mothers side are from my grandfather had a county store in the area my uncle worked for c&o railroad all have been gone for long time there is so many memories of my mothers side in that area
Beautiful architecture! Love the columns, the staircase, the second-floor balcony, the paneling, the fireplaces - everything! I could so live here. I sure would love to go through it after it’s restored. Thank you for the tour!
❤I'm in love with this place. I always felt I belonged in a plantation home like this in the old days, imagine swooshing round in a big dress and sitting on the porch on a sunny day with those amazing views, It's stunning. Thank you for the vid🖒
MANY historic old homes in the USA have been restored and are open to the public as museums. Probably some around where you live. Check with your local Historical Associations, OR go on-line.
Even while in disrepair this home was/is so beautiful! So glad you posted this footage again, Brian. TY! Happy to hear it's being renovated and people living in that gorgeous place again.
I like to imagine Christmas, birthdays, and other special occasions that this once beautiful place hosted!!Laughter, music and wonderful food!! I am very happy someone is going to restore this treasure!!
To each his I own, but the fireplaces in homes from the period are my least favorite feature. They’re usually the kind you would order from a catalogue and the style almost never really matches the home. I know a lot of people love them though.
Amazing mansion! I’m so happy to know it was restored. Search here on RUclips “selma plantation restoration.” There’s an entire playlist on the restoration. It’s exquisitely beautiful !!!
I am so happy to hear that someone bought this and fixed it, it makes my heart sing because these beautiful homes can never be replaced! Wish I could see how it looks now.
Watching the renovation on FB too. The transformation has been amazing! I can only imagine the money they've put into this project. If u've not seen it, u should definitely check it out!
I know when I truly love a house because I am filled with envy. Since I don’t have the resources to fix a home like this I am grateful when someone else is ❤️.
Wouldn't it be grand to be there relaxing on the front porch rocker on a lazy summer day looking across the perfectly manicured lawns and listening to all the birds sing their beautiful music while sipping on a cool mint julep...
That was a grand house at one time. I hope they restored it to it's original state. I love the fireplace under the staircase landing. I also like the bathroom sinks.
So glad they fixed this one up. In my neck of the woods. It's a riot to see how many people think it was built by slaves 🤣 it was not. The origional house on the property was but not this one. Awesome video!
Brian Sterowski this is the most amazing house I have ever seen! I can't even imagine how much it cost to restore this house like this. Can we get a history of the original owners and the new owners? My ancestors lived in Virginia in the 1700s
Shayla I do not know who you are but I think I will simply report you to RUclips. I don't know you and I do not know why you are cursing me but rather than stooping to your ignorance I will simply report you to RUclips!
It makes me so sad to see old, beautiful houses in this state of disrepair. So glad it’s being restored. I’d love to do something like that myself some day. The old, abandoned pianos break my heart. Those old computer monitors were a bit shocking.
I lived in a Plantation Home Grandma Moses house and I loved It, in the summer it was so cool inside with the French doors open watching the see through curtains blowing, I Absolutely loved it and I really do miss living there but I do go and visit the House but sadly to say it is setting there empty"!
I just came across your channel because I saw the beautiful mansion! I am so glad someone bought it and Restored it! There is a lot of structural damage so it’s gonna cost a lot of money I’m sure. Nice video too.
@@princesszahara6953 THANK YOU OMG THESE COMMENTS PRAISING THIS PLACE ARE MADNESS...are we all just going to ignore how these evil demons got so much money on the first place??? Absolutely disgusting Selma is not a place of pride....
2:00 .... Cable & Sons! That piano is worth a good bit of money. Just looked them up and they are highly sought after and well worth the cost of restoration.
I follow the restoration on Facebook! I love this home! My sister actually told me about it I’ll have to show her this video! The Facebook page is the Selma mansion rebirth
I'm so glad someone took this house and restored it. It is such an important part of the history of the old south. It would have been a shame had they knocked it down.
I would love to see this place as it is now after being saved from decay... Does anyone have any photos of this? It is one beautiful home.. Huge infact.. Loved the video, Thankyou
There is a house 🏡 on Cannon Road and Pacific Coast Highway where Farrah Fawcett used to stay when she was dating a tennis 🎾 pro in Carlsbad, California.
It's cool getting the resto it deserves as long as the new owners don't make it open concept. The way it was is the way it should be returned too especially those awesome bathrooms. The kitchen should be updated to a point but no so much that it totally throws the rest of the house off. 20's or 30's modern retro appliances would work nicely
Brian how did U find this gem? My kinda place this style. Curious how mansions get abandoned? Is it as simple as outta sight outta mind ? Do These beautiful places just fall off the Radar of Realtors and ignored ? How much did new owners buy it for, guessing must be public tax record ? 4 those of us who don't have nor want Facebook, We would appreciate it if U Kindly update us here please. Thanks
Selma mansion rebirth is the website. They also have a FB page showing a ton of the restoration process. I come back to these videos and remember wishing it would be saved. Thankful that it was!

You look at an old house like that and try to imagine how it was in it's prime. And how to even begin the restoration.
Beautiful house, happy to see one saved. Have you been back to see the outside of it? Excellent video!
I haven't been back. I hear the owners don't want people visiting. I can't say that I blame them! Thanks for watching!
