I have this same model. . Mine doesn't have any tube shields. Very sensitive radio.
My back story is, my grandmother had the same radio on a shelf in her kitchen. As a baby I noticed it, couldn't take my eyes off of that beautiful dial . This radio began my life long obsession with radios.
In 1969 when I was 14 she gave it to me. I loved it!! Unfortunately I started hooking up larger speakers to it and ruined it...but thanks to Ebay got the identical one recapped it, and its looks and works like new. These are fantastic radios. My other grandmother had a Motorola 52H thats a great radio too. I have that one as well. You should have a look at one of those too. Very early 50's atomic styling a great performer as well.
    Great video thanks for sharing.

I used a gold- paint crayon stick over the dial and brand. Its very easy clean and looks original.
