usually ı don't use youtube's comment section but as a student aircraft technician I really appreciate your works and that videos contains very technical informations with 3D animations. Maybe you can make video series that describes some important ATA chapters of 320 family.

Really enjoy watching your videos ! Your wording + clear animations allow me to get a better understanding of these systems. I am currently studying towards my CAT A EASA licence, and I am finding these videos very helpful. Thanks for the hard work !!

Mercedes-Benz also uses this technology in the sunroof of their luxury cars.

The A350 also has dimmable windows

Neat but seems to me that unduly increases weight and complexity of the airfare and electrical system

Say about how air-conditioning works in flight

This feature belongs on the cockpit windscreen so the pilots can apply as much or as little of a tint as necessary so that the pilots aren’t blinded by the bright sun. That’s where there is a need for safety.
But for Boeing to install this feature on every passenger window seems unnecessary and just gimmicky. I think the current “pull down” window shades found on every passenger window in every commercial aircraft work just fine in the cabin. It’s inevitable that there will be many failures causing hot sunlight to penetrate the cabin without the simple backup of a window shade! It will be as ubiquitous as finding entertainment system displays not working. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it!

This does seem like a solution to a non-existant problem.

Flight attendants don't need to ask everytime to open their shades during landing and take off. Auto open for everyone and thats it 😅

Not really. The benefits are later on in the video. Maybe you missed it.

I hate them, give me a normal shade.

    787 worst aircraft I flew.
Each passenger has no AC duct above his or her head. It's like sitting inside a hot tube.
Dimmable light? Who cares. What a joke.

Then why did the Hainan Airlines 787 I flew have among the best ACs I have experienced in the sky?

You are aware that the airlines are the ones to configure passenger layout, yes? You might've flown with a bad airline. Which airline did you experience this with?

      @@devonalbatross First I flew in a cheap airlines so I gave 787 a pass.
Then I flew in Qatar Airways. I flew both economy and business. Same as the cheap airliner. AC was not working.
In total I flew in 787 4 times. Same experience. Worst aircraft. In terms of look - ugly too. Bulky.
      All hail AIR BUS.

Not gonna lie, the dimmable windows sometimes may be flawed and still transfer heat even with the window at the darkest settings.
During my flight with it, my window was hot as hell and i had to put a pillow on the window to block the heat radiating from the window. The heat was still felt from the middle seat.
